  • throw a smoke bomb down your pants, it will get all the ants out.

  • check out this video on stretching, i had so many aches and pains before i started this stretch routine...

it won't let me post a url in my comment...

so look for youtube/stevedst and then look for his stretch routine...hope it helps

  • I hope you feel better!! Maybe you should take a break from all exercise for a few days.

  • Sorry to hear about the injury! Sometimes they carry a hidden benefit, though: pick a different activity that does not involve the hip at all and make that your focus for a week or so (I mix in weight training and swimming). It shocks your system and allows yourself to heal. Good luck!

  • Thanks for the advice, and always staying so positive for me! It really does help. Hmm..no pool where I work out currently.. I will definitely look at other non-hip related exercises, though.

  • do you do any weight training to help strengthen those muscles? - be sure to give it enough time to heal so you dont cause further injury.... i think i pulled a hamstring muscle because i OVER stretched!! but nothing major... just feels odd...

  • Over stretched?! Yikes - was it a case of pushing farther than your flexibilty allowed or..? yes, I weight train 3x a week (2x for arms - they are weaker; 1x for legs). But, I added hip abduction/adduction to my regimen on arm day to help with the ITB issue (I HOPE!)

  • Hey! Thanks for mentioning me. I get antsy sometimes, too. I'll realize I've just been sitting most of the day and want to just *move*. Hope the injury heals nicely and that your enjoyed your movie!

  • You're welcome. Thanks for watching! :) I ended up working out at home instead - it was raining pretty hard and I just didn't feel like driving in that. But, I did a workout video, so hey it's all good.

  • Be patient. You will get better soon enough.

  • You're absolutely right - pateience is what I must embrace. I have to think of how much worse it will be if I don't do the right thing (rest, ice, stretch, you know the drill...)

  • There is a girl in my tri club who comes from a running background. She has a really effed up foot right now. She has not been able to run in months. She is in misery, but she keeps finding ways to keep her self up.

  • sorry about your injury! :(

  • Thanks - I'm trying to stay positive and motivated.
