  • I'm trying to figure out if he said "...smoking cigarretes.." for ministry.

  • The guy know how to defend his convictions. No doubt about it.

  • Paul did this, he acted like a Jew around Jews and a Greek around Greeks in order to convert as many as possible, somewhere in his letters he says exactly this. Mark gets it. lol.

  • "God saved me when i was in college." No, God didn't save you. You are deluded. Please shut up.

  • @Melchior40

    Why?

  • @GuitarHero2790 Because that's his retard interpretation of the Bible. The truth is different.

  • @Melchior40

    And what is the truth?

  • @GuitarHero2790 Truth is that we are supposed to do the right things in this life without knowing the truth. That's part of the truth. As for Jesus, to say that he "saved" only those who believe in him is not the truth. I believe he didn't come to "save" anyone, but to show us the way how to lead our lives. Driscoll is an idiot and a false preacher. And because - as I said - people don't know the truth, some are inclined to follow him. I bet he makes loads of money with preaching. Jesus didn't.

  • @Melchior40 If you don't know what you're supposed to do, how can you then do it?

Is this your truth or the truth's truth? Who's truth is true (To clarify I disagree with Driscoll on many points) What makes your truth more true than his? Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man (Jesus) came to seek and to save the lost." Luke 19:10 (Now he's gonna say something about me quoting the bible)

  • @Melchior40

I mean how did you come to this truth? What makes your truth true? What ground does it stand on? (Not antagonizing, asking)

  • @GuitarHero2790 Point is that Driscoll is a false preacher. If you follow him, you are likely not to follow Jesus. Driscolls teachings are based on a fundamentalist view on the Bible, not on a personal experience with God, which involves constant struggling with Goid and what is true, not a personal relationship with Jesus, not on real prayer. All he has to offer is a retarded interpretation of the Bible. He is a man deliberately deceiving people to make them tithe to his "church". I hate this.

  • @Melchior40

Now, my next question is. How do you, having never met the man, know that?

  • @Melchior40 And why if you disagree with someone so whole heartedly, why do you comment on videos they have produced that they will never read. Exhibiting the same behavior that puts you on the same level (as far as perception is concerned) as a 17 year old who hates Fall Out Boy or All Time Low etc?

  • We need more Driscoll's in america, God send more guys like this. Not perfect, but honest, simple, love God, relevant, with a lot biblical knowledge 7 love for the Bible, missionary, CHURCHES......God Bless you!!!

  • be not of the world

reformed principles of worship defines what is and isn't reformed.Since he admits to not adhering to RPW, he is therefore defintely NOT REFORMED.

Red herring with the african suit illustration.

He's mixing orthopraxy and orthodoxy and saying they are one.

Telling a person to separate from unchristian behavior like cigarettes or moshpits is not the same as telling those in Africa to wear a suit and tie.

Did you notice the deception or does temptation cause you to ignore it?

  • I don't care for Dricoll mostly. However...he makes a good point on this message. Double standard.

  • Hey, if we have technology and the funds to install it, WHY NOT use it for God's glory, for the kingdom of heaven? Technology obviously does not belong to the devil, so we ought to glorify God with it. Driscoll makes no mistakes in that. Neither the Gospel nor its power is compromised.

  • i think their approach was incorrect..i havent seen seattle or have been anywhere near it but i think they should have held a bible in the air and proclaim God's Word and the Gospel everyday and whoever comes by the grace of God disciple them and then make them do the same thing on another street corner and watch God move.

  • And yet he has. And God has and is moving through him.

  • When my husband and I cane to the Lord, I was all for it but my then boyfriend/father of my child/man I lived with was not. However, the Lord brought us to church that played music that my husband thought was the best because it was just good and not stereotypical. He says that is what kept him there. After a year,we ended up getting married and soon after he got off the fence. God uses things to make us feel comfortable. He is,after all the God of all comfort. God can use anything.

  • Amen to Jesus, great message from Driscoll and its exactly what happens in church nowadays...we need to reach out!

  • Excellent- Amen! I pray for Seattle and the sharing speaking of the Gospel of the love and grace of Jesus Christ.

  • You mean to tell me that in all of our learning, in all our technology, in all or our tolerance, in all of our education, in all of our love, and in all of our common sense, that your best contribution is F*** GOD?

  • Amen!
