Ah, this brings back memories. I played Cody a bit last year, not as masterful as this one. His heavy punch can easily chained into criminal upper, EX version will defeat most other moves, except maybe for rush/grapple like Abel. Ruffian kick can rush down or mind game enemy.

His Last Dread Dust can counter even others Ultra (provided the range is right), it also chips a lot of health and has decent range. Very satisfying against cornered low Hp enemy.

uziwgp (I don't know who he is, but he's too good just to refer to him as "that Cody player") just absolutely overwhelmed Mochi in the first round and was still solid in the second. I've never seen anyone do that to Mochi! Fantastic to watch.

to find out a vortex u can either look up the vortex for ur character, google it or just watch matches of top players that use ur char cuz most of the time they'll use the vortex when their opponent is getting up

no i think cody can beat rush down chars too if played properly, his biggest weakness is against chars with good vortexes cuz cody has shittty get ups. chars like vega and fuerte are nightmares and akumas and ibukis that know how to vortex are also a problem. for some reason i have a hardtime against sakura too cuz of her vortexes

@Cash1234mar a vortex is like a trap u get sucked into when ur getting up. cody has weak get ups and ppl with good vortexes like akuma, ibuki, vega and fuerte give him a hard time. an example of a vortex that get my cody everytime is vega stuff where he flies off the wall and hits u with a cross up slash, a non-cross up slash or the grab from the air
