haha hey, I'm not defending how good it is, just why I chose the ending I did. Personally, I think I could've done a much better job. This was my first short film, and i think it's alright, but eh--haha I hear ya on a lot of it! lol

It would've been a PREDICTABLE ending.

That's the point. No one expects him to take the blame for it, when his whole life it's been instilled in his head to "take the easy way out." It's a growth in character film, not a Romeo and Juliet rip-off.

Wow!! Very impressive. I was choking up almost the whole part 3. I was a little disappointed when ran to grab the gun but I thought the story was going in a different direction than it did. Very creative, and great story line!

(spoiler alert!!!). I thought that he was going to kill himself. So I was disappointed when thinking that because it seemed rather cliche and predictable...also rather uncharacteristic. But the taking responsibility for her suicide was original and true to character. The parallels in this story were fantastic with the father and son. You don't mention...or I haven't seen it...what "Easy Way Out" was created for?

I realize after re-reading my original comment it sounds as if I am disappointed with how the story actually plays out, which is not the case. I was disappointed at the time with how I predicted the story was going to go...and was then happy that it didn't :)

Oh! I could tell you weren't disappointed in the ending, I was just curious! haha It was for a project at my school- we could make any kind of video. And I put my group to work on the script I wrote. I figured it would be a good time to go through with a big project having a crew and all. I liked this turn because I figured people would expect the cliche, and i tried to think of something more original! I'm glad it was well received!
