  • Great video!!! Very informative, and filmed in a nice enviroment. And your way ot talking is very calming :) thank you

  • Appreciate the upload! Nice job brah.

  • I really enjoyed this video and would like to go skiing with this fellow. I liked him right off the bat. You speak excellent English.

  • @mopbrothers Thank you! Let me know if you visit Stockholm. Maybe I can arrange a skiing trip for you.

    Kind regards, Mika

  • dude I want some of those ice cream containers I love my stove absolutely bomb proof...heavy as a boat anchor though

  • @econnofoot So true, Bombproof but heavy :) "Knee hurt, back hurt, cook set last long time" said in a primal way LOL!

    Kind regards, Mika

  • Mika,

Great video. I just got mine the other day. I hunt and trap in the desert here in Arizona. I really like this kit. I have it behind the seat of my truck now. I had to order mine from the U.K. These are getting harder to find in the U.S. For that reason, get one if you can. I use Heet for fuel. For stateside folks, go to Walmart and you'll find Heet in a small yellow bottle in the AUTOMOTIVE section. Not in sporting goods. It burns very clean and in warmer temperatures it heats up th

  • @seannmack Thanks! This kit is perfect to be carried in your car/truck due to the weight, but hey it is durable and will last a long time. Enjoy your Cook set!

    Cheers! Mika

  • @seannmack They're still incredibly easy to find in Sweden, and i bet that any decent surplus store should be able to get ahold of them cheaply if they wanted to import new ones. There is probably not a single surplus store in sweden that doesnt have them.

  • @seannmack

Theres a lot of swedish sights that sell these kitchen for about five dollars.

What do they charge in Uk?

  • Bra video! I would add for those not familiar with it's use over open fire that the handle on the pan has two D rings. You can whittle a stick with a little notch in it to fit through them, and you can hold it over the open fire from afar, or rig it up to be held by the stick and a support over the fire.

  • Great video. These are great stoves. Look at my videos if you like trangias.

  • Hi. Love the channel. I got a used surplus set last week. It is excellent kit. You guys make some great gear.

Looking forward to more of your videos.

  • @blackthorn1975 Thanks for taking the time to watch my videos! The Swedish army trangia is perfect as an long term self reliance cook set, especially if travelling with a canoe or a kayak due to the weight of the set.

    Kind regards, Mika

  • Love your philosophy, about making stuff instead of buying everything new. Even though I buy a lot of my things, I am getting more into finding cheaper ways, right now I am trying to use a broken cloth seat to make a portable seat I can hang like a small hammock. Someday I will try to make a free bushcraft kit too.

  • I like this video, Real world conditions, experience with the product, Excellent !!

  • @reddog694uk Thanks! Glad you like the video!

    Kind regards, Mika

  • Nice video.

  • hi from uk good video gave me some idea's

  • Audio?

  • Hey man you are doing ok, out there doin it. Looks like the stainless steel one easier to keep clean/heigenic. I'm getting one delivered next few days and looking forward to using it. When canoeing wildcamping (have a look on my channel) normally cook on camp fire or Coleman one man duel fuel stove. Agree with you - I use ex army kit and adjust/make my own. Nice view of the snow and trees better than filming indoors. Last thing - even if you do speak slow your English is well pronounced. Cheers

  • thank you

this is a very good video

  • Good video, atleast your out doing something. Your English was good for an ESL.

    Thanks for the good video.

    cheers

  • @teb0atoz Comments like this make me very glad!

Thank you for your kind words!

    Cheers!

    Mika

  • Nothing wrong with your video pal, at least you have produced one which is more than your criticizers have managed. ;)

  • @DarthCelcius I thank you for this comment!

    Cheers!

    Mika

  • This film is an example of how NOT to make a video. He could have said more in a minute. I'm ah...I'm ah..I'm ah...I'm ahsleep. He should've made this indoors.

  • @golaoi Sorry you feel this way! This was the fifth video I filmed for You tube and I agree that I talk slowly and a bit unfocused. But as you might have noticed English is not my native language, so I have to think a bit before I talk. I personally like watching reviews done in the environment the item is to be used in.

    Kind regards, Mika

  • It's not your English. You should write the 20 important sentences and just say them. It's too long for what you say!!. This is not so much criticism, as advice.

  • @golaoi Thanks for the advice.

    Cheers!

    Mika

  • Awesome video. I love the Trangia style kits. I have a 27-7. I am trying to find an inexpensive Swedish Army. They are foolproof and almost bullet proof. Thanks for such a great video. One of the best reviews of the Swedish Trangia Kit I have ever seen.

  • @MrBabelfish5 Thanks for the kind words, appreciate it.

Just bought a Trangia style set at a flea market this weekend :)

Maybe I'll make a video on it, if I have time..

    Kind regards, Mika

  • Thanks Lhaasje i am glad you like it!

    Mika.

  • Thx for sharing. Great stuff !

  • Good start. Just got my Swedish cook set. Had to get mine all the way from the U.K. because they can be hard to find here in the U.S. Keep making vids. Will be watching.

  • @1975Minn Congratulations! You have bought a great piece of gear that will serve you well and last for ever if you wish..

    Mika.

  • ive been thinking about doing that too how much was shipping

  • Total cost (British pound) with shipping was 27.55. I paid $45.07 U.S..

  • god damn i saw one on ebay and it would have been like 25 30 total us dollars

  • When i bought my Swedish army skis i asked the guy running the surplus store how much he took for a cook set . 8 Euro for the Pan and Pot (used) and 4,50 Euro for the wind shield and burner(brand new)..

    That´s 17,66 American Dollar´s for the set.

How much the shipping and packaging is i don´t know..

    Mika.
