  • @DrThickoch LOL

  • Great video & info & cool gun. Jeff, is the 2012 Boss 302 yours as well?

  • Yes, it is. It's a good life.

  • I had a Colt Defender and I didn't really care for a plastic cam [I think that's what it was] in the inner workings.Although it may have been just fine and lasted for years, I didn't like it, so I got rid of it.Bought a Kimber ultra carry 2 and the little "Paper clip" [basically] that's used to tear it down...pissed me off even worse!I think Kimber should by ALL Buyers the aftermarket tool that makes WAAAAY more sense than a friggin' piece of wire, which by the way is GONE FOREVER if you drop it

  • Does anyone know of any online dealers that stock this. Thanks,

    seecamper

  • Check galleryofguns-dot-com.

  • Jeff: You've got a Boss 302? Jeebus I freaking HATE you. That is absolutely

my dream car. It's the modern day rendition of the 302 Z28. Congrats Jeff. Cool little gun and GREAT car.

  • Thank you, Sir. It is the first new car that I have ever bought. i have always been practical, and bought vehicles that were at least a couple of years old, but lost all ability to reason when I ordered that Boss. Awesome car.

    Jeff

  • There is no way that a man who braids his beard doesn't smoke weed every day.

  • Never smoked it in my life.

  • @Gunblastdotcom Wow, did not know that they came that small.

  • Comment removed

  • @Gunblastdotcom Hm. I'd find it real difficult to not spark a hog leg cruising around in that '73 Mach 1. I knew a guy who had one and he got crazy with it in the middle of an intersection and slammed it into the side of a dump truck. Sad day.

  • @DrThickoch LOL!I hear ya....you know he's gonna vote for Ron Paul,lol!

  • I have a first gen colt government model 380 and like the pistol alot. The sight picture is alittle iffy though, seven well placed shots with a 380 will get your point acrossed..

  • I've been searching couple sites, but can't find this gun available. It retails for $599, and how much should I expect to pay for one these brand new? I live in Norcal.

  • @djhitman323 At this moment in time, I imagine that street price isn't going to be much lower than MSRP. It seems like the thing's hard to come by, which is going to keep that price up.

  • donkey kick my face Jeff!

  • looks nice, but im not sure about carrying a single action pistol cocked and locked in my pocket. that idea doesn't set well with me.

  • I know this is a quality made gun, but I'm telling you a .380 is not a good round-it will get you killed. IT WILL NOT STOP A LARGE RAT. Do NOT trust your life with a .380

  • This is quite possibly the finest .380 ever made. Mine feels like you're shooting a Rolex. I have an original series Mustang and am happy to see people now have an extra option for a fine quality self defense weapon that anyone can shoot easily. I may have to buy me a few new ones. :-)

  • Glad Colt brought this back

  • I am going to purchase either the Colt Mustang or the Sig P238. You have reviewed both and I know they are very similar. Which one would you buy and why? Thanks in advance.

  • Both are good choices, but I prefer the Colt. No real reason, except that it is a Colt design, and Colt is an American company.

    jeff

  • Nice Mustangs.

  • hi jeff where did you get that target at

  • triggerhappytarget-dot-com.

  • That Mach1 Mustang was better than watching porn.

  • I agree.

  • Jeff, you are the man! Sweet Mustangs!

  • I wish that they made that for a 9 mm or better yet a 40 SW.

    Love that old Mach 1!

  • I love the compare and contrast great cars also great guns! Thank's for the fun review!

  • Would you like to see Colt bring back the 1903 pocket model too? That would be cool imo.

  • Yes I would, but only if it would be a good business decision for them. I am not sure there is a great market for that one.

    Jeff

  • Lol good intro man nice looking pistol.

  • Silly question #72: I presume that this can be converted to a "lefty" by changing over the magazine release. And if so, is it something that a person of average skill can do or is it best to leave it to the pros?

  • The magazine release is perfectly placed for a left-hander, using the trigger finger. I would not switch it over if I could.

    Jeff

  • I like the Mustang cars too. Where can you buy the Colt and what is the MSRP?

  • MSRP is $599, and any dealer can order one for you.

    Jeff

  • Jeff, This colt seems similar in size to sigs single action p238...Are you fimiliar with the p238 and if so, how do they compare ?

  • I have done a review on the Sig. The Sig is a copy of the Colt that was discontinued a few years ago, thus the part about the "reintroduction" of the Colt Mustang Pocketlite.

    Jeff

  • Very interesting, I did not know that you had a classic Mustang. The 351 Cleveland that I raced first in my '68 Mustang then in my Fox body Capri was based off of a 351 Cleveland out of a '73 Mach 1 my Dad bought as a basket case over 30 years ago. I still have the short block including the 4 bolt main block in my garage . I was also going to put an order in for a new Boss 302 until I looked at how much my kid's college was going to cost me. Ouch!

  • College is greatly over-rated.

    Jeff

  • @Gunblastdotcom I agree, but unfortunately most employers don't.

Where I work, the first thing that management does is to send the new engineers to me (I am totally self taught) to learn how to do the job correctly, then they make that person my boss!!!

My kids will have the real world knowledge that came from me PLUS the (expensive!) piece of paper saying they are smart.

  • I guess I would agree some college is like art and history majors. What about health care professionals like Doctors, nurses, pharmacists etc? Last I checked they were all college grads and their schooling is not "over-rated". Not everyone can land into a dream job without going to school...

  • Yes, much of their schooling is also over-rated. There is no need for a person to have to attend liberal art classes to learn how to remove a ruptured spleen, but they have to play the game to get the degree.

    Jeff

  • @Gunblastdotcom Ha ha point taken! Thought you were going somewhere else with your comment. By the way great videos keep em coming!

  • Jeff... You got it made, lots of neat guns, nice pad and yard settup from what I can tell, and a great car collection.

  • God is really good to me. I built the house myself about 20 years ago, with the help of family and friends. Cleared out a spot in the woods for it. Not a "lawn" that city folks would like, but it suits me just fine.

    Jeff

  • Man, you've all the coolest toys!!! To quote a well known silver screen villain, "Where does he get all those wonderful toys?"

  • Jeff, you are my hero!

  • good video

  • Great job mixing it up with the cars! I wonder how the little mustang will do sales wise now that sig has perfected the P238. I imagine they'll draw the Colt fans but might have trouble luring the average gun purchaser.

  • Excellent video sir, mustang fan since 16!!

    Sincerely, Bud

  • Hey Jeff, would you prefer this Colt over the Sig P230?

  • Yes I do.

    jeff

  • Cool

What was old is new again

    Very cool Fords

  • Jeff after seeing that you have a 2012 BOSS your now officially my idol!! Damn that car is beautiful.

  • love the cars ,+ like gun cool video . / good info

  • you can see the first bullet leave the gun

  • I was just at the Colt Factory in West Hartford, CT wanted to get one of my older 1911's repaired, had a chance to go into their indoor range, got to try out that one, it's fairly accurate, but the price is what scares me

  • I am a CHEVY man but, I do keep a warm place in my heart for the MUSTANG, I like both of these (want them in black though) great COLT mustang, thinking of getting one.

  • The connection between car and gun was inevitable! Glad you went all out! Great taste, and great vid! Thank you!

  • Did you run any hollowpoint ammo through the Colt? If so, how did it function?

  • Yes, I tested the pistol using a variety of ammo - see the referenced review for more info. Functioning was perfect will all ammo.

  • Nice Mustangs, my ride is a '70 'Cuda with a 440 / 4 speed original matching numbers. Wouldn't sell it for anything, lol. Funny how the Colt Mustang was the inspiration for the Sig P238, which sold so well that Colt finally woke up and started producing the Mustang again. Nice little pistol, and as always a great review.

  • I still like the colt pony .. I think it would be a better choice for pocket carry

  • Did they see how well the Sig Sauer P238 was selling and decide to get in on the action?

  • I was not involved in their decision to produce the Mustang again, so I would just be speculating.

    jeff

  • Nice Mustangs! Had a '69 Boss myself when I entered the Navy (way back in 1975). Man do I miss that beast. Maybe one day I'll be able to afford to rent yours... Thanks for sharing. Oh, and great piece on the pistol too... :)

  • i've got a 1999 mustang. its my first and only car, and its been great for me. love the thing.

  • Guns and cars.....God Bless USA

  • Enjoyed your full review on gunblast.com. Pleased with the positive results from your extensive testing. Thanks

  • WoW finally in production, right on. OK I'll start the debate which ya like better Sig p238 vs New Colt Mustang. I've been waiting on the mustang but I'm a Colt dude. Now I just gotta find one of those babies.

  • Mixing cars (especially classic mussel cars) with guns. I Love It.

  • 64 or nothing man

  • Nice car

    OLD MUSTANGS> NEW MUSTANGS

  • I have an original Colt Pony PocketLite, which was the double action version. Looks identical. I wonder if they are going to bring it back?

  • I don't know, but I hope so!

    Jeff

  • Cars and guns. Good intro combo to introduce the compact pistol. Which car did you like, the old classic Mustang or the new 2012 Mustang??? Did they let you drive both of them in the video?

  • I like both of them very much. They both belong to me.

    Jeff

  • appreciate the heck out of the videos Jeff and Boge...thanks guys!!

  • My dad has one, I had the Sig version (P238). These guns are very accurate and easy to shoot compared to other sub size 380's (P38T, LCR). But I can't justify a SAO 380. I do not feel comfortable carying a SAO pistol in condition 1 inside a pocket. It limits the usefulness of this gun. What I would like/love to see is a SA/DA version by Para-Ordinance.

  • Great news! I'm glad Colt brought this back to market. This should get folks excited, I know I am.

  • Awesome cars Jeff, oh and great looking little pistol. Would you know about what the retail price is on it?

  • MSRP is $599.

    Jeff

  • Thank you, Sir, but the credit for the video goes to my brother, Boge. I just stand there and look pretty, but he does the work putting it all together.

    jeff

  • Is the frame a light sand color? Handsome lil piece.

  • It is electroless nickel finished on the aluminum frame. Silver in color.

    jeff

  • Cool vid

  • Looks like I might have to get that Mustang pistol to go with my '07 Mustang GT. Always enjoy your vids. Thanks. Are those your Stangs Jeff?

  • Yes, they are mine. God is very good to me!

    Jeff

  • nice cars brother, and i'm a camaro man, i own a 94 z28 auto and 01 SS 6 speed, fast fun driving cars, not too big on the new ones, the ZL1 will be nice though

  • I really loved the new Camaro SS, until I drove one. Did not impress me at all. I never wanted a new Mustang, until this Boss was introduced a few months ago, and I just had to get one. Wicked fast, gobs of torque all the way through the powerband, and revs to 7500 RPM. Foolish spending that much money for a derned car, but I was obsessed with it.

    Jeff

  • @Gunblastdotcom yea i've never been a fan of the 4.6 GTs, but the new 5.0 is nice, my 94 Z is built to a 383 lt1, 3800 stall,3:73 gears, and a ford 9" rear, the 01 SS is stock and clear coat is gone, but i got it from a friend who sold to me for a good deal, he just wanted it out the yard because it was sitting and he has a 08 z06, it took me 4 years to build my 94 z but it was worth it, 500lbs of torque through the powerband is nice, my rear tires look like slicks because they are so worn

  • Well done gunblast team.

  • I have always liked some of the Ford products, but I was never a "Ford man" until recently. Since they didnt take any of our tax money for a bailout, I am now a Ford Man. I bought a Ford truck back in January and I love it. Nice cars and thanks for the review of the gun.

  • the only thing better than this channel may be the music intros. you have good taste my friend. just great music and reviews. thanks.

  • Show off

  • I will try harder to practice on my humbleness.

    jeff

  • The Gunblast web-page reviews the features of the Colt Mustang = specifically the safeties. Good review, for people just considering > buying a small pocket pistol!

  • Awesome cars, awesome gun review video as always!

  • I love the Older mustangs, the look better, and sound better, can't beat the old Carburetored engines for sound, they may take a few minutes to warm up up, and get running fine, but hey ifn ya know how to clean one, they ain't ever gonna need to be replaced, and if you can do it right, you will not need to replace anything!

  • Not only do you have superb taste in firearms, but in cars too. Excellent choices.

I'd personally love a 1969 Boss, but to be honest, I'd take any of them, except perhaps those from the 80s..!

    Beautiful machines.

  • Love the cars Jeff, glad you incorporated them in this video after I asked on yesterdays vid. Great vid!

  • Hi Jeff. The link has a "page not found" error. Looking forward to reading more info on your webpage. Aloha, J.

  • Boge is putting the article up now, should be up momentarily.

  • O well. There goes the value of my 20 year old original pocket light!

  • 2nd hahahha nice little pistol

  • sweet
