  • is this nationals ?

  • @Zeeq13 nah this is at Marmion Academy

  • yeah but......whats their K/D? probably not very good since they spend all their time throwing their guns around..................

  • as much as i still respect them for how skillful they are... i must say it took me a few times of watching them perform in person to realize that most of their routine is single rifle spins with the occasional double or triple... and the "flawless" performance isn't so flawless after all...

  • @CommissarNibbles The flawless routine includes a line two feet from eachother doing doubles on the side, on their knees and doing triples practically over the person's head in front of them. it includes total and complete unison with barely any mistakes... i guess that's why they have taken 1st in squad AND platoon in a span of 4 years. there is only one other team with "back to back" champions in 30 years. please try this routine and tell me it's easy or it's not tough to be flawless.

  • @CommissarNibbles we change our routine every year. there are now over 6 triples in the routine, including a one-hand catch. with all of the spins that we do and it gets hard to spin. it requires constant practice. so i won't be a jerk and be like, "hey, it's super ass hard! i would know, i run this routine every morning." (which btw we do have practice every morning of school). it's just that this is an old routine and it has gotten more difficult since then.

  • SGM Gissel! God I miss this!

  • the bosses of drill throughout the nation

  • Sgtmaijor gissel was my grandpas friend he was ltcl Brandon

  • @loljello I had the honor and privilege of knowing your grandfather. He was an amazing man, a great leader, and a credit to himself, his family, and his country.

  • GO CADETS!!!! :)

  • one word "Amazing"

  • god i regret not trying out for this and now its too late

  • easy doubles and triples with almost 9 pound rifles?

ive tryed that . its quite hard.

  • omg i luv ur transitions

  • it depends, ive spun a rifle that was 7.5 bolted- all the way up too a 12.5 bolt m1 garand. Its not that heavy you get used to it

  • are those rifles heavy like really heavy??

  • Comment removed

  • 10 pounds at the most.

  • HOW DO THEY TWIRL IT LIKE THAT?!?!?!?

  • Its not twirling its spinning

  • Sorry, I haven't started doing Rifle Drill yet, so I wouldn't know :)

  • why do i get he feeling that when ever a rifle hits the deck, i hear a gun shot.

  • That's what you call in unison and a lot of practice.

  • this year we are doing the marching triple at 7:33 backwards

  • i remember the flannigan rifles. i only hate one thing. their name rhymes with reagan rifles. we stayed at the same hotel with them at the 2007 nationals. i have to admit they were good and should have been the overall winner. i remember waiting to hear our name called to get some hardware.. hearing flannigan rifles and mistaking it for reagan rifles.. i can laugh on it now, but that sucked. you have my props though.

  • HOORAH!!! D-flight AFJORTC.

  • Ahh it's to bad that Romeoville is better OORAH

  • you guys are really good.

especially at the springfield drill meet.

  • do they guys use Daisy's?

  • No, they're painted Springfield M1903A3 rifles. They weigh approx. 8.65 lbs. There were several competitions where the Flannigan Rifles were accused of using improperly weighted rifles because of how high, fast, and hard they could throw them.

The fact is that the majority of the team is composed of athletes and the exhibition team especially is encouraged to get into the weight room so that they can perform on the high level that Marmion's exhibition routines demand.

  • Daisy's are Springfield M1903A3 rifles that weigh approx. 8.65 lbs. , i wasn't accusing them of using improperly weighted rifles.

  • Ah ok. I believe the actual BB gun manufacturer Daisy makes a small underweight drill rifled, so I thought you were asking if they used those.

All their Rifles have the Springfield Armory symbol on the barrel with the year engraved on it. Most of their IDR rifles have receiver groups that were made in the 1940s. I think it's the same for the Exhibition rifles, except both have new wood/fiberglass stocks.

  • XD he wasnt even looking at the guy when he said thank you sir XD fail lol, well yeah u guys kick butt with ur exhibition routine. i just hope them rumors about constantine arent true.

  • constantine does not make up our routine.

  • constantine didnt make the routine, it is mostly the same one that we had with a few changes

  • You're not supposed to look at the person. Since the guest of honor didn't move and exhibition units aren't require to stay centered on a judge at the end of their routines, he did exactly what was needed for him to officially end the performance. If it was IDR it would've been a different story. The students still make up the routine regardless of who helps in coaching.

  • well done! well done!

  • Wow. The crazy thing is, they have such high difficulty of movements and great precision, that they dont even need creativity or good transition. I mean seriously, this is one choppy ass routine. And yet they STILL win because of their difficulty. Marching triples. Come on now. Ridiculous.

    Nice job marmion.

  • the US army drill team should use these guys!

  • Marmion has one of the most original routines and they choreographed it really well.

  • dude. AWESOME. it sounds like a gunshot when they their rifles hit the floor cuz theyre in unison... NICE

  • yea see no he doesnt... that just who he is

  • Ha yeah he doesn't try too hard actually he is just that intense.

  • The platoon ex was %&*@ing sick. Nice job
