Although this video was extremely touching and enlightening in terms of hope and aid that is becoming more and more accessible these days; thanks to organisations and people such as those in the film, what i did find a bit sad and unfair, was that it seems that Jane was separated from her siblings. Surely someone who dedicates so much time and love to particularly her family has the right not to be parted from them. Does any one know if she still sees them?

@mj4ever001 The only problem is when the food arrives there it would be rotten ie produce, meats, diary plus the cost of transporting it there is higher than ever. It would be great if all the money from the food and transportation could be used to start small farms so they would be able to grow their own food and not rely on outside sources.

Wow, what a stark but real portrayal of the struggles of children in Africa. I have been criticized by many for my desire to help orphans who are helpless, due to circumstances beyond their control. I worked in Haiti, Ukraine, South Africa and Swaziland. In each country, I encountered children who overcame unsurmountable odds because of LOVE..love that rescued them from death and led them to the Father's Arms of relief and joy. I would also like to have a home for orphans. Any ideas??

maybe you missed the end where they mention all those three children were treated medically and one got adopted. The folks that filmed this work with those already assisting the poor. Their purpose is to bring our attention to the needs of the poor. Franciscans believe in helping the poor , social justice, peace and nonviolence.

I blame our African government who shack away from their responsibilities only for good hearted christian organizations to intervene. My gratitude goes to this humanitarian groups. I too first was appalled by the film, I made a nasty comment, later I took time to watch the whole video and my opinion changed. We should be thankful for them for making those kids get proper care.

This happens while in the capital Kampala the political elite live like complete Eurotrash living in US$1 million houses, drive US$150,000 Mercedes Benz S600, and eat at $30 per person restaurants. All at the expense of people like this. Until the US and other countries stop giving "Aid" money to these third world governments nothing will change for the starving people. The first world countries need to give their resources directly to the poor people, not the bourgeois government officials.

Incredibly heartbreaking! This is a result of devaluing human life. No man, woman or child should have to live this way in this day & age. We need to stop turning a blind eye & place the same value on ALL human life regardless of race, color or creed. Pain & hunger feels the same no matter who you are. i hate the people that arn't grateful for what they have. all these kid's need is a plate of food and a helping hand, simple as. i'm only 13 but if i can then i wanna sponser a child. i don't get much money a month but if about £10 can change another child like myself's life then i deffinately will.

@mj4ever001 The only problem is when the food arrives there it would be rotten ie produce, meats, diary plus the cost of transporting it there is higher than ever. It would be great if all the money from the food and transportation could be used to start small farms so they would be able to grow their own food and not rely on outside sources.

I am suffering too, health, financial, emotional etc., but when I saw this video, I suddenly felt humbled and shamed, that my problems are all petty and insignificant...I wish that when I have to live in next life, I want to be super rich and powerful, super healthy, emotionally, physically and spiritually prepared and influential missionary so I can help my fellow human beings, who are destitute, helpless and in great need of my help and of those able ones...

Wow, what a stark but real portrayal of the struggles of children in Africa. I have been criticized by many for my desire to help orphans who are helpless, due to circumstances beyond their control. I worked in Haiti, Ukraine, South Africa and Swaziland. In each country, I encountered children who overcame unsurmountable odds because of LOVE..love that rescued them from death and led them to the Father's Arms of relief and joy. I would also like to have a home for orphans. Any ideas??

It's simple mrcrocodilehunter, religious organisations use god to make people give them money. Money they say will help kids like Sam and Esther(and their big sister of course), but most of that money never makes it to those kids. Where do you think the money comes from when your local church says that it's building a new building or opening a new branch? where do you think the money comes from that buys your priest a nice big house, 1000+ dollar suits, and that Marcedes he drives?

maybe you missed the end where they mention all those three children were treated medically and one got adopted. The folks that filmed this work with those already assisting the poor. Their purpose is to bring our attention to the needs of the poor. Franciscans believe in helping the poor , social justice, peace and nonviolence.

1oigigeerlung: congratulate those people at least since they got the attention of those kids their case have improved. I blame our African government who shack away from their responsibilities only for good hearted christian organizations to intervene. My gratitude goes to this humanitarian groups. I too first was appalled by the film, I made a nasty comment, later I took time to watch the whole video and my opinion changed. We should be thankful for them for making those kids get proper care.
