Also, purplejumpergirl, horses don't 'dance' persay. They were trained to stand on their hindlegs and move around. They don't understand stepping to the beat, etc. That is the rider/trainers responsibility to either change the speed of cadence, or pick music that fits the horse's natural rhythm.

They can also be trained to do these maneuvers when the music starts: ie, usin the music as a cue. It's similar to clucking to a horse to move faster.
