That's the tires spinning.... the speedometer works off wheel speed, and if they are spinning, the speedo will say wheel speed, not actual speed.

That's why the speedo stops at the end of both first and second gear, when RPM is maxed and just sitting to gain traction before shifting.

the wheels were doing 55km/h, the car wasnt. the car marks the speed in the transmision i think. my car does 0-60mph in 5 something and for the speedo ive done 0-60 in 1 secondo. its the wheel spin

hey the speedo on golf gti mk5 is not accurate...use a gps to check ur real speed.the faster u go the bigger speed error..usually 5%-10% if u compare to the real (gps) speed. u cant depend on speedometer to do 0-100km/h.

its not fake..it has automatic transmission is use Lauch Control...search on YouTube Launch Control and see what is...U press the brake with the left foot with the right foot u push the acc pedal to the flor but first u need to put the gear in S or TipTronic (up and down) then to disable the ESP so u get Lauch control...Sorry for bad English

are you guys kidding me, have you been in a gti, a friend let me drive his, yes like the guy said, you do a burn out and it may even go past 60, with the apr chip your doing 100 before you know it, and ya on a dyno? thats why you see the road infront of him and street lights flaring up the inside of the car, don't speak up unless you have some sort of experience
