Saab is known for pioneering the turbo for automotive use, rallying, 4 cylinder cars, direct ignition systems...and other things. 5.0L mustangs are something I see on a daily basis, not too special. So yes I agree he ruined the Saab by putting that engine in it.

I love Saabs and have owned my fair share of SPG's. I think putting a V8 in there is cool, who really cares. It's something different. But why someone would drive around with the hood off is just dumb. That is someone who really needs even more attention. Less is more.

I'm sorry but that's frigging nice! Pulling in you were like the black guy at KKK rally LOL. I'd leave the hood on it and put some super quiet mufflers on just to make it a WTF sleeper. Could win some cash on bets on who's faster with a quiet muffler set up. I'd sand bag the hell out of it and keep winning :) Very nice! If i had some change loose I'd do this to my 99' 9-3 SE. But like the crybabies here suggest, I'll probably get another Fox Body instead as they're turn key for under 4000 grand.

Saab did have plans for a V8 before GM bought them, now that they are owned by Spiker they might get the V8 back.
