I love it! I'd make it road worthy and leave the condition as it. The home made wooden replacement window is the best. It is truly a statement that you do not care and you can do it yourself.
The Rolls makes me wonder. What happens to peoples minds. When it was new and probobly for several years some guy cared more about that car than he did his wife. After a few more owners, it starts to go downhill and soon we see a roach motel on wheels. Sad situation
I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and tank clean and rustfree
RollsRoycefun may be correct. This might not be a corniche, but a 2-door mulliner park ward model instead (pre 1971). I'm guessing this from the non-vented hub caps, different dashboard arrangement and larger steering wheel. What would be the clincher is if we popped the bonnet and found a 6,230 cc engine instead of the 6,733 cc engine.
Hello my dear Rolls-Royce fans. This model is the most wonderful designed product from Crewe, England. But what you see is NOT a Corniche. It.s a Silver Shadow two door Coupe. Only 568 of these cars where produced. After several technical improvements the factory called this model in 1971 the Corniche.
Hi, sorry you do not know your facts. The 4 door saloon short wheel base was the Shadow, the 4 door saloon long wheel base is the Wraith, the 2 doors were the Corniche. The Corniche has been made as a convertible and a hard top. The hard top version, if not called Corniche was called the Drop Head Coupe
Well they were officially called the corniche in 1971. From 1967 to 1970, the 2 door cars were just referred to as 2-door mulliner park ward. I'm not sure whether this is a corniche or a 2-door mulliner park ward.
Drophead coupe is Rolls-Royce speak for 'convertible'. This is a Corniche Coupe. They're rather rare but this car may be too far gone to be worth it. It's a Silver Shadow underneath an they're very expensive to get and keep right. Very complex hydraulic systems. But when they're running properly, it's a fantastic drive.
That stereo HAS to be AudioVox brand, or Kraco. Anywho, I saw a prestine white Rolls at the local Goodwill, it was parked right out front, and I had to laugh, it just seems so odd to me
I'm a Rolls -Royce collector. I would probably buy this car to fix if not part. But there is no real contact info. Oh by the way to the moron who says Rolls-Royces are shit what are you driving? I think the only shit is coming out of your ears!
Corniche Hardtops are kind of rare, aren't they? The Silver Shadow Coupe (which was actually a seperate model, but looked nearly identical) is another rare one.
Unfortunately, alot of Mulliner Park Ward Silver Shadows have had bootlid badges fitted at a later point. The Corniche had a different facia, different exhaust system and tailpipe, different wheel covers, and a deeper (front to back) radiator shell among other things. The Corniche was officially introduced on 4 March 1971.
First off, this isn't a Corniche, but a Mulliner Park Ward Silver Shadow two-door saloon. Secondly, it has been horrendously butchered by yet another clueless idiot who insisted on spending money (albeit it looks rather cheaply) in all the wrong places, and destroying what was once a rare and beautiful car.
You obivisiouly have no respect for rare older cars....the cars that you should be making fun of are the Japanese clunkers that are on the road now!

@GayUOPXBoy10 Hey! My '98 Corolla has 130,000 miles on it and it still runs like new. It's far from a cheap Japanese clunker.

@goldwadd Hi, A Coupe, Rolls-Royce or not is a 2 door car.
This particular model is a Corniche Drop Head (hard top)
The one with an open top is a Corniche Convertible.
Rolls-Royce convertible are rare and expensive +/- £50000
Rolls-Royce Drop Head are not so rare and less desirable because the roof does not come off, hence you can fetch these in England for about £10000
This car will be a ruin for anyone that will buy it, too much of work to do on it. I own an immaculate 1981 Silver Spirit.
