@loonytin true what with the adrenaline and increased metabolism however in the time it took them to take multiple breaths I was still able to hold my breath for longer than that so I think I'd still take less breaths than them. let's also not forget that movies make deaths unrealistically quick because people don't want to spent half a movie watching one person die, they wanna get on with it and watch the movie. like when you see people hang and they die instantly, that wouldn't happen
