It's certainly a don't-try-this-at-home rendition. But most of their ornamentation is well within the Irish trad idiom, pushed to the edge. OMG what virtuosos.

Great--rarely hear two banjo players sound great together. I have to say, though, I do not like Bela Fleck's rendition of Maid Behind the Bar--blues notes don't fit this tune.

This is astounding. Most times when you have two musicians of that caliber, one plays while the other hangs back, but to have them play at the same time and build something new together - i feel privileged to have heard it.
