  • classic tune and a great tribute to freddy legend for ever brian

  • I got goosebumps on my toes.. mister May, you are a legend indeed...

  • I get tears in my eyes

  • Freddie Mercury <3 <3

  • Freddie pls come back!!!

    Croatia

  • Brian, thank you so much for everything you have always donewith Freddie and in Freddies memory. You are the silent support always with him. You sir are the unrecoginised talent of Queen.

  • i'm on 1:45 and then, i can't watch anymore. i started crying :'(

  • Freddie, this song is for you. Never forget...Czech Republic. Freddie, tato píseň je pro tebe. Nikdy nezapomeneme...Česká Republika.

  • You can tell he's trying so hard not to cry... Touching stuff..

  • Anyone who didn't cry isn't a real man.

  • yeah thats right.... to much love will kill you

  • I think this is the best "Too much love will kill you"-performance of all time. Not because Brian hits every note right, but because he shows he's human, and he's lost one of the people he loved the most, and he's not afraid to show how much it hurt him.

  • Love this song.

  • Pamatka na Fredyho bude zit na veky.. DIK FREDY

  • Theres several versions of brian singin this which are much more solid vocally, this was probably a very emotional moment for him, understandably. his voice is totally amazin, but right here u can here its a bit tough . rightfully. love u freddie and love u bri!!!

  • @LoveFrusciante i think he was just very nervous about the performance, not sad about freddie, i dont think they were real close friends.....

  • Comment removed

  • @lapsku71 even if they weren't that close, it would probably still be upsetting.

  • People are disliking this just because everyone loved Freddie too much

  • Poor Brian, it must have been very emotional for him to play this..

  • Rest in peace, sweet prince

  • Whoa holy crap

  • WOW 13 dislike, who WHO !!!!!!!!

  • Freddie should be singing this, thats the mistake!

  • Comment removed

  • Huh, Brian May actually sings quite well himself. AND he's an astrophysicist now, too. Enough already, guy! ;)

  • @pjperez He sings very well :D listen to things like '39 and Sail Away Sweet Sister

  • I want go in the time machine!!!!!

  • Elton John would have done this well.

  • @RBEO22 Not as well as Brian :P

  • make me cry always, again and again and again!! no more words, just feel it

  • this give me chills . such a beautiful song .

  • Who wants go with me on this concert by time machine ?

  • @notalently meeeeeeee *_*

  • @notalently I'd love to

  • @notalently Me :(

  • @notalently Why going to this concert if you could meet Freddie with a time machine ?

  • @notalently I do, So much talent, Freddy is my all time favorite voice

  • @notalently I do!! Pick me!! Pick me!!

  • @notalently

If I had a time machine I'd first go to the future, get a cure for AIDS, then go back to early 1991 and save Freddie's life. And you know what? If it's at all possible, I will one day. Also, I'd keep a number of other people alive, like Roger Zelazny, Kevin Smith (the actor who played Ares on Xena), and a number of others...

  • @notalently my friend i would go back when freddie was almost getting aids to warn him

  • @notalently I'll go!

  • @notalently Rather go to the one at Wembley when he was still htere to be honest ...

  • @notalently not only this concert

    -> '85 LiveAid

    -> '86 Live At Wembley

  • so much nice..

  • To address the content and history of this song: From what i know it was written in early 1989 by Brian. It was about his divorce "I used to bring you sunshine, but now all I ever do is bring you down" and the news of Freddie's illness. It was rejected by Freddie for The Miracle album. This is the first time it was played in public. But, Freddie recorded it before this and before its debut on Back to the Light. Freddie's recording is on Made in Heaven.

  • You can Tell that Brian is really trying so hard not to cry ...

  • @Tallulah777 true

You and Queen live on forever, Freddie!!!

  • @tcartagena Actually freddie was a live when he wrote this song. There is a version sung by Freddie.

  • too bad the title pretty much tell's the story of Freddie :( rip

  • This is just simply amazing, so much feeling.

  • beautiful job Brian. Freddie would be so proud. <3 <3 <3

  • recipe for an amasing song:

    preheat freddie to 120 decibels

add a piano, orchestra if required

    and stir the soul.

  • some men were born to be great, some believe they were born to be great, freddie was neither... he was born to shake the world to its knees, but he stayed humble. that is the trademark of a great man... R.I.P.

  • 10 ppl are not loved -.-

  • this song is for kurt cobain hehehe, its a joke dont get angry :)

  • Look at him, he's almost crying :(

  • Hey Brian..stick to playin superb lead guitar fills and backin vocals..extracticate yerself from the roland!

  • Sorry Brian, but there's not this same what Freddie's voice...

    Greetings from Poland

  • @Biegan88 still, this was Brian's song before it was a Queen song, and lstening to Brian's version has a whole different meaning, both are very poignant .

  • Love this record & I was their......A little part of history :)

  • I love you brian may.the best guitarrist of the world and a very good singer with a big heart............

  • ja - ich liebe diese version auch! chapeau!!!!!!!!!

  • @ 2:40 Brian May is Crying! "Y_Y"

  • I love Brian's singin. Such emotion.

  • Wow.

There's no other word that can describe this performance properly - just ...

    Wow.

  • brilliant.

  • As I realise that the audience had most likely never listened to this before,it must have been quite a moment! Not that the rest of the concert wasn't..

  • @porock21gr it wasnt released yet until later. This was the first time the song was made public I think.

  • @michelrpg Yes,that's what I'm saying. The concert was held back in 1992 but the song was publiced for the first time in 1995 on Made in Heaven.Or at least that's what I think!

  • @porock21gr "Too Much Love Will Kill You" made its public debut on Brian May's first solo album, "Back To The Light". The version that was recorded as Queen, in the late 80's, was released on 1995's "Made In Heaven".

  • @brightonrock74 Thanks for the information!I was familiar with the Brian May version but I thought it was released later than the Queen one.But as I see it was released (shortly) after the Freddie Mercury Tribute concert too,so still the people who attended it must have been the first to listen to it in public which was my initial point.. :)

  • @porock21gr No, actually it was written by Brian and was on his solo album which was released prior to Made In Heaven.

  • Song is terribly ironic and very very very sad, too much love killed Freddie in the end, He was a true ambassoder of music.

  • Brian's voice is AMAZING!

  • I've got this on DVD & used to have it on VHS, What i want to know is why did they have to cut the first part of the concert out on the DVD??? it makes no sense & it's ruined a fantastic concert which i love. That concert was to help raise money for aids charities & also a send off for Freddie so why cut out the first part on the DVD....SHAME ON YOU!!!!

  • The best song, both musically and lyrically

  • I always cry when I hear this song. It's very sad,but beautiful at the same time. You are so beautiful Brian inside and out,now and 4 ever...I love you....

  • Wow. Such an emotional performance.

Not only is he a great guitarist, he's also an incredible singer and a talented pianist. He's got such a smooth voice. I love it.

  • Freddie Mercury was 'The Entertainer'. He spanned generations with his music. I only wish that I had the chance to see him in concert. I grew up with his music and my children will too!

  • you can hear the emotion in his voice. Freddie's death was still fresh in his mind. He held this together brilliantly.

  • there are so many feelings in this song........is amazing

  • I think Brian has a very soothing voice i think it's a great performance not to mention he is one of the best guitarist the world has ever seen to.

  • Brian May wrote it, and I still say he was meant to sing it.

  • i love

  • notare la lucidità negli occhi di may :')

  • So emotional!! I cried!!!
