  • Impresionante!

  • Awesome drummer also

  • light speed

  • Knee drop to da Strat O Yeh Da Master!!!

  • I first saw Jeff at the Alexandria Roller Rink in VA, about 1968, with Rod Stewart singing. Boy, that dates me. I love the scenario, when Hendrix 1st showed up in London, and Beck's g.f. called him up (she had seen his initiation concert, he hadn't), wakes him up and tells Jeff what a mind-blowing guitarist she'd seen the night before. ...Just what Jeff wanted to hear, 1st thing in the morning from his g.f.

  • No shredding, not even a pick, just tons of soul!!!

  • I'm just saying that he is underrated because he doesn't come up in many of the top ten guitarists video ratings, I think he's great, I thought that ever since High Ho Silver Lining.

  • @H4RD2F1NDMUS1C Where can I find the channel ?

  • I never knew that Jeff Beck could play like this , absolutely brilliant, a very underrated guitarist.

  • @wolfieworldwide not really underrated, hes pretty well known. Obviously if you never knew he could play like this your not much to judge if he is underrated.

  • just so innovative and always experimenting, putting him above the rest.

  • MY NEW CHANNEL DEDICATED TO JEFF BECK!! RARE SONGS AND STUDIO OUT TAKES!!! -H4RD2F1NDMUS1C

  • Actually he's using a locking nut - a bit more stable than locking tuners.

  • @bweinman It's a roller nut with locking tuners.

  • I have been informed that he has fingers made out of stone

  • Cant tab this.

  • So cool me f up!

  • tres étonnant d'autant qu'il me semble que le brave JEFF loupe volontairement quelques notes

very surprising, especially since it seems to me that deliberately magnifying JEFF few notes

  • WOW Beck is SICK!

  • The Jeff Beck group never shared any royalties with Jimmy Page when he was with them... Selfish much?

  • Im new to all Jeff Beck's music so nobody smite me for asking this if it just seems like common sense to you, cos like i said i'm new. But how on earth does he keep guitar in tune with all the whammy bar usage? :S

  • @MrRandomjayy he is using locking tuners. they keep your guitar in tune all the time

  • waouh ! j'adore

  • Excellent!

  • with 6 you get egg-roll

  • Really nice version. I still prefer his studio version, the one that appeared in the movie "Across The Universe" The orchestra arrangements sounds extremely similar to the original classic by The Beatles. Well no wonder, Becks's version was also produced by Sir George Martin. That's right the same Mr. Martin that produced the original.!

  • Does anyone know what concert is this? should be good to listen to it in better quality

  • @Martimtubes 25th anniversary of the rocknroll hall of fame in nyc in 2009

  • Superb!!!

  • Finally, after all these years a Beatles song I like, or is it still a Beatles song? I don't know how I missed this....musical extravaganza,,,, but it's made my night!

  • so o cara faz isso

  • Ok this totally sounds like "Whiter Shade of Pale".

  • All that and no pick.

  • 169 losers disliked this vid smh

  • Every note counts with Jeff. I was fortunate enough to see him live when he came to town with Rod Stewart...way back in the 70's. Rod was great... he left the stage on numerous occasions and let Jeff fly. Very classy. Truly, Jeff has gotten even better as the years go by.Bloody fine and great post you have here! ~KSKing

  • Simply the best electric guitar alive.

  • he makes the guitar sing...

  • Jeff Beck is fantastic, but jeez some people get so tribal about it.

Please just enjoy the music, don't put your fucking life on the line.

  • I lucked out and met him after the show in Vancouver Oct 27 2011 Fantastic !!!

he did this song ! and he signed my "Wired Album" OOOooooooooooo !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MrFerrango Saw him at The Cape Cod Colliseum, Cape Cod MA. truly one of the best.

  • @MrFerrango That's cool! Hey...I saw him live back in Vancouver in the early 70's...he was playing with Rod Stewart! Awesome he's been at it so long...and is still so damn great! ~KSK

  • Just seen him in concert in Edmonton yesterday he was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have never seen a show quite like that. And i dont know if i ever will again. Him and his band have serious talent.

  • I don´t like this - I adore this

  • yeah, I heard this performance even inspired Paul McCartney to write some lyrics for this tune :-)

  • Iwas reading some where that jeff was rated #51 for gods sake how insane nobody has the tone the control the pure mastery that this man has NOBODY. he is # 1 in my book like it was ounce said guitar playing is not a competition but this guy is better than all the rest period

  • i saw him recently (never again) i mean "somewhere over the rainbow" gimme a break, whats happening!!!!!

  • @arcenium028, You have strange jazz guitarist's friends !

  • Clapton is so overrated it's scary.

  • fucking amazing live!

  • i Never heard about Beck before listen that. I was creating one list and that video appeard and I liked it very much

  • Maravilhoso..... sem palavras

  • I always find myself, back listening to Jeff, and watching in amazement !

  • i LOVE jeff beck, i really do, but this song is such a good Beatles song and im a bit sad that he covered it.:(

  • Beck looks like a 25 year old here.

  • POWERFUL and REACTIONARY

  • Obrigada pela postagem Lenira Brasil

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • with Jennifer Batten????????????

  • masterpiece version by masterpiece song..

  • 0_0 OMG... if just paul and john be there.....

  • One of my favourites from Jeff Beck (still going strong) Another favourite is "Blanket" together with the singer Imogen Heap........

  • i heard that a band called the beatles did a cover

  • @Alcomable chill...........

  • @Alcomable

    How clever...

  • @Alcomable Okay, you're a faggot.

  • @c4r50n1 it was a joke idiot. im guessing you're either 12 or mentally handicapped.

  • @amathew711 No, I know you were kidding. But he was implying this version makes the original look like shit.

  • @amathew711 good one , he`s ROCKKK

  • @Alcomable Ha ha yes we must give Jeff his due, the only man I've heard that does justice to the Beatles.

  • @Alcomable you're an idiot.

  • wow wow wow i not more that tell is awesom is it all! very! well! song!

  • That was so freakin awesome.

  • beck started getting real good when he threw away the pick, knopfler to is a true master. there is so much more you can do with the guitar and these cats prove it daily. there is no such thing as the best guitarist although people do feel compelled to make lists, if such a list could be compiled though most of us would be unworthy to decide in any but a superficial way.

  • @TaroGabunia: You have to include Zappa

  • I like him because he uses his finger (thumb?) to play..!!! just like Mark Knopfler!!

  • @DimK46 I think Mark Knopfler uses his thumb just like Jeff Beck!!!

  • @onestop67 Basicaly....thumb is their only common.....completely different styles....Mark is a fingerpicker...Jeff is the Tremolo Man :P :))

  • ♪♫♥²↑⁀⁀☼ ;-j

  • Redirecting... music in motion for me, and for all.

  • Neil Young's version is better.

  • Wow! That was fantastic!

  • Well that was amazing!

  • Oh shit and that's Jennifer Batten with him, cool

  • Check out Parissienne Walkways and Still Got The Blues by Gary Moore if you liiked this one

  • amazing musician...genius..

  • Jeff Beck is good, but vastly overrated. This is all scripted, and its still sloppy. His improvisational skills are nothing compared to those of Hendrix, Garcia, Clapton, and the "Big 4" Allman Brothers guitarists (Allman, Betts, Trucks, Haynes).

  • @theatlantisrise I wouldn't disagree.

  • @theatlantisrise I think the genius of Beck lies in his originality, phrasing and creativity. And to say that he cannot improvise like those aforementioned is a misinformed assumption. Check out the video "Further down the road" with beck and clapton to get a taste of beck's improv skill. For a while I thought just the way you think about jeff beck, but I must say after months of listening and researching, I've found he's a very original and skillful guitarist.

  • Getting sick of the Middle Eastern sounding whammy shit. Flame my ass if you want - I'm a huge JB fan - but where will this end? He needs to evolve once again. Flame away...

  • Jeff Beck, the Beatles, Elton John= real musicians

today's so called musicians fail in comparison

  • The Yard Birds was the breeding ground for the best: Clapton, Page and Beck. Beck has always been one of my favorite players. Grew up with "Beck Ola" and "Truth".

  • No his guitar sing !

  • @Keithmebaby you sure his guitar isn't gently weeping? i joke but that was amazing

  • God, his guitar speaks.

  • Thumbs up if you get the chills from listening to this!! (The good kind of chills)

  • This is way too good

  • Clapton has slowed down a lot lately tho. Beck never has. He's always gotten better.

  • Léo serait fier de voir un de ses fils jouer sur ses stratos

  • One of the best Strat player if not the best

  • Wonderful playing :)

  • Ouch, look at that hair

  • Hendrix, Beck, Clapton > The rest

  • @TaroGabunia Add Page and I'll fully agree. :P

  • @willou901 I'd agree on adding Blackmore...

  • I like him, too, but Page is #1 for me. It's good just to read these guys' names. I've only seen Clapton live from the guitarists; hopefully I'll have a chance to see Page, Beck, Blackmore, and EVH. Wish they'd tour more often, but it's not their fault I was born so late.

  • @willou901 I'd say that 1. Hendrix 2. Beck 3. Clapton 4. Blackmore 5. Page 6. EVH...

  • @TaroGabunia people always forget about Gilmour... makes me sad. He's one of the true artist of music... not just guitar.

  • @89efsir Gilmour is my favorite guitar player along with Beck, hendrix and Clapton but I must admit that objectively, he is slightly less great.

  • @TaroGabunia 1.Hendrix, 2.Jimi, 3.James Marshall Hendrix, 4. Jimmy Hendrix, and finally 5. Buttons

  • @willou901

    #1 Page, agreed :)

  • @TaroGabunia you forget john fruciante, wes borland, Kirk hammett, Slash, Joe satriani, Kurt Cobain

  • @jujo63 i agree about john frusciante. but kurt? really? yeah he was a revolutionary musician. but not a superb guitarist... anyone can play power chords..

  • @TaroGabunia i think you forgot Page.

  • @runmud Then he forgot Satriani, too.

  • @TaroGabunia you forgot to put B.B King in there--cant deny a legend like that

  • @fezz11111 Had it been the list of all genre guitarits, i would have put BB King, SRV, etc.

  • @TaroGabunia page & perry

  • @TaroGabunia gilmour ?

  • @greenday961000 Gilmour is my favorite guitarist but I don't think that he makes the top three or even five

  • @greenday961000 .....David Gilmour from Pink Floyd?

  • @TaroGabunia ur missing page therefore thumbs down

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • A blatant inequality! ;)

  • @TaroGabunia no no Hendrix Beck Clapton Page > The rest

  • @Yoshignacio no no no Hendrix, Beck, Gallagher and Baden Powell

  • @TaroGabunia shawn lane?

  • @TaroGabunia haha you cant say anything like that there are many guitarist jazz says their own, rock their own, blues their own, classical their own, metal their own how can you say that?

  • @TaroGabunia

    forgot page

  • @TaroGabunia dont forget bb king!

  • @TaroGabunia AHHHHHH SANTANA TOO AND STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN

  • @philrox427 And David Gilmour and Eddie Hazel and Frusciante and Zoot Horn Rolo and a lot more

  • @TaroGabunia Clapton ? Really ? Go on, and ask some better guitarist that you know, something about him .. Every single Jazz guitarist that I know, have nothing good to say about him ..

  • @TaroGabunia WHERE IS PAGE?

  • I am very happy to have just listened to this. My dad (who is around 50) was telling me about how epic this guy is so I decided to give it a listen. It really is a shame that the great rockers belonged to the 60s and 70s. oh well, we still have the memories of such a rocking time!

  • For those of you too young--get Jeff Beck's "Truth" album.

  • The dude is bleeding on his pickguard!!!! reckonize!!!!!!

  • 何故かわからないけど泣いてしまいました。

    vocal無しの歌で泣いたのは初めてです。

  • @11urusai その人は天才だから。それだけです. "Where were you"と言う曲をすすめです。

  • Makes it sound like a tortured sax at the end

  • Now THAT is how you SPEAK with a guitar!

  • THE FREAKIN MASTER!!! KNEE DROP TO DA STRAT

  • Amazing. Just beautiful.

  • He always could make that guitar SING. *sigh*

  • i swear to god...i have listen to this a gazillion times.....just amazing

  • Jeff Beck turns a great song into an amazing solo. Great video.

  • Playing music, with room to spare between the notes, it's how an excellent musician, can be distinguished from an also-ran!

Jeff, is the conductor, on train, that keeps finding new destinations to go to, and he keeps playing today, as if he still wants to continue on the trip!

    Masterful!

  • Am i dumb for hitting replay on this all day long

  • Damn! looking for some good bra-less shots of Tal Wilkenfeld. Oh well, moving on.

  • oh shit he got his own style!!!! replay... replay... replay...

  • Happy Birthday, Jeff!

  • see u today in bratislava jeff!!! and happy birthday!!!

  • John tells us through that guitar

  • 162 people are deaf.

  • He has the best use of dynamics of any guitarist... He plays guitar the way a diva sings, just awesome.

  • Boy oh boy oh boy!

Can't wait 'till tuesday when i'll see the maestro live at Amager Bio in Copenhagen!

  • AMAZING o____o !!!!!

  • Is this one of those dubbed "shreds" videos? I honestly cannot tell, I don't know if Jeff Beck actually sucks this bad or not.

  • estupendo simplemente , beck interpretando el gran final del sgt, que mas puedes pedir.

  • This actually made me cry.

  • Fcking brilliant!!!

  • thanks to the 160 idiots that disliked to the vid, now the dislike/like bar looks like my freshly lit cigarette... :)

  • saw him and eric clapton live in toronto...wooooot

  • @xBRoyalx Me too! :D I saw them at Crossroads too. Beck stole the show both times!

  • Fantastic! Jeff Beck is one of the best guitarists ever!!

  • Every So often a guitar finds someone that will let it sing and speak thru the persons talent.

  • Fantastic version; thanks for posting this.

  • Incredible how well he makes the melody work for guitar. Damn..

  • WOW! I forgot! Beautiful!

  • Those drum kits are so unnecessary lol. Jeff is my favorite guitarist. He is one of the greats. Always will be.

  • This just gave me goosebumps

  • Its amazing how he uses his fingers and no pick to play REAL rock...
