I'm currently on my second one for the latest batch, and it does indeed still include the "secret sounds". I've only activated "secret sound 1" at one point by accident on my second version/replacement, and so far, it's still working.

I'm hesitant to try again though since C.O were such a pain in the arse to deal with the first time round.

I have one of the early versions with "secret" sounds and have had no trouble with it at all.

Don't take it back to the shop now! If you've got the hidden sounds it means your Screwdriver was 1st Edition and could be worth much more in future. Just splash kout on a less-breakable second edition screwdriver.

I used the sounds for month before it broke

I can't take it back because it was from EBAY!!!

So I threw it down the stairs and it worked for

Have they put the ones with the rubbish tennant sounds in the shops yet or is it just an internet order thing. I am about to get one and want to make sure I get the one with the right sounds and I will just not use the secret sounds. I would far rather have that than have the naf tennant sounds.

im sad because the replacement character options sent me only has two sounds and they are the 10th doctor's sonic screwdriver sounds and i prefered the original sounds + i had a synthesiser so i would have liked to keep it as a led torch...oh well BRING ON THE DIE-CAST

@TheRedGoldfish Yeah, mine just arrived today. Wonder what made them decide just to put an old chip in it, rathr than fix the one with the proper sounds from the new sonic. Because lets face it, two types of people have bought/ will buy this...Kids who just want a toy sonic, and geeks like us who know the sound is wrong lol

Mine broke the day BEFORE I found out abouth the so called secret sounds, sent it back to character and still waiting for my replacement.

Word round the campfire is, the replacement/ new batch/ whatever don't have the secret sounds, anyone know for sure?

@45825243 - the replacement has the sound chip from the 10th doctor's sonic screwdriver so you will notice you don't get the sounds your previous one had at all :( just the two sounds from david's sonic
