He is just the very best around these days! What a delight to hear someone combining such technical flair, musicality, respect for tradition, orininality, elegance and, yes, a gorgeous voice...
Another superb rendition from Bezdüz! The nuance is lovely, he has a strength of voice that certainly carries and he really has a very unique and most enjoyable timbre. The ending of this aria is as already stated: to die for! Can only agree I would have wanted to hear the very end of it as well..
However, I do hear a little tightness - and as a result he's a bit flat - in some of the middle phrases. However, he gets it back, which is impressive. The end note is so lovely.
Looks young, too. Hope he ends up singing at the Met soon.

Interesting ending on a Bb - haven't heard anyone else except for Joseph Schmidt do that. Lovely voice and he seemed in tune to me, despite our Greek friend's persistent remarks. I llok forward to hearing more of Bulent...the voice almost sounds like it has Bjorling quality to it, maybe with a hint of Pavarotti on the "ah" vowel.

This is actually how I expected the aria to end the first time I heard it I but was let down. His voice truly is one of the most beautiful. But then again, to many peoples anger, I do believe Bocelli has one of the most beautiful.
I would say this is the best rendition of this aria I have heard from any current living tenor. BRAVO, Beduz! This rendition is in par with Alfredo Kraus and Luciano Pavarotti.
I think he is reall lyric, like Carreras or Alagna. I m hoping that he will not eventually wind up as road kill on the tenorial highway. Couse he is gifted such a great voce, beautiful color, sensitive soul. He seems he knows what he is doing.
Sounds like he is not quite as light as Kraus at that age or Schipa who where strictly lyric always, great voice and will get darker and larger naturally as long as he sticks with lyric roles for now he will last and get better and better. Bravo
I think he is a lyric or lyric spinto which means he is a lyric who can sing lyric or some spinto roles like Don Carlo later which Shicoff often sang with success early, he is not limited to just lyric roles like Hadley was who had a lighter voice or Schipa. His voice like Bjorling another lyric spinto sang Manrico and Don Carlo but never Forza or Chenier yet Bjorling called himself a Spinto but sounded more lyric or lyric spinto he never sang Calaf on any stage live ever however.
Mr.William Mason(Lyric Opera Chicago) Mr David Gockley (San Farncisco Opera) Mr, Peter Gelb (MET) Mr Miklos Szinetar (Hungarian Opera House ) and my favorite author Mr Villiam Berger all of them agree that Mr Bezduz has top tenor qualities: brilliant voice and pure natural stage presence and even he is good looking too .
Hi everyone that who supports this young felow. Bezduz the one, who cares about frasing and Belcanto music, more than making big a sound. For me, his una furtiva is best live performances After Maestro Pavarotti in youtube.
I m also happy to see his fans create a North American Opera Forum and Fan Club which he deserve definitly.
Wonderful singer and voice. Most of the greatest tenors are dead so this young Tenor with a great lyric spinto sound is welcome. Joseph Schmidt sang this live also with the B flat ending in 1937 but on studio recordings he sang it as written, it's Fine. Bezduz different voice then Florez who is a light Lyric, This is a lyric spinto sound and a fine voice at that. I have heard most of the great Tenors live for 50 years going to opera's and if he is careful he will have a huge career.
he is not a spinto. I have the same exact voice type but i am about 5 to 7 years younger. He is a light lyric with benefits and great technique. If you have good technique you can sing almost anything. I bet he can sing the hell out of rossini to.
Don't listen to some of these people, I am Greek, and respect good music when I hear it. I too am a tenor and working on this aria, so i can completely understand the musicianship required to produce such a quality performance.
I like the high ending, only because it felt true to the aria and coz u meant it, not so you could show off!

His voice is very free, soft and always beautiful. Only very occasionally his timbre gets a "white" tone, but that's a minor aspect. He has excellent technique (great top and breath control) and understands the style. Now that's Bel Canto!
Well..his voice has some spinto characteristics as well although he is a tenore lyrico. So it's normal that he sounds a bit different than most lyrics. And please...Juan Diego Florez is a light tenor. He cannot even think of singing some of the aria's Bulent can sing no matter what his Bel Canto ability is. This guys has a bright future ahead of him if he keeps on working hard and chooses his repertoire wisely.
I didn't hear anything flat at all. I liked his Una Furtiva Lagrima better than anyones at this point. The de pieu non chiedo threw me off a bit, but only because I wasn't used to it, but the the whole aria, including the ending, was very spectacular. He has an extremely rich voice.
Arms, and spirit of this aria??? They sell librettos on-line, which may be as cheap to purchase as your bombastic "COMportamento"
Very nice voice. It seemed to me that he was having a hard time knowing what to do with his hands/arms though, they were not not in tune with the spirit of the aria. Great job though. Loved the high Bb!
The negative Greek guy is a twat who obviously doesn't have a clue what he's talking about. Go and watch some videos about the life of taromasalata or something dude.
I do not care what do you think,I am not Turkish or Racist:)I AM HONEST AND YOU ARE HONEST FOR THIS TENOR,IT IS NOT HELPING HIM.
If you are musician you will understand what I am talking about.He is flat if you can not hear that clean your ears boy:)I have more exprience then him and you have to be honest on this business;
No, he really wasn't flat. Sorry. He bellowed a bit on the first Ab, but not the subsequent ones, and I don't think the Bb ending added anything, really. Good sound, good technique (from the sound of it) and good intonation. Tenors of this standard are not common. I think Florez has the edge over him in Bel Canto, though.
Listen greek 1/4 tenor, why you are obsessive about him I added this videos because he wunderful tenor you are the only one or afew.if you dont stop writing negative and obsessive words I must block you.Ok.Making critic and belemish is not the same!
I don't think he is flat at all. His "quelle festo" was a little shouted. and his "vo might ahve been a little flat but the rest of the song was was on pitch. And the on the Bb he is spot on
I don't think GreekTenor has said anything unreasonable. Just listen! Fhe first phrase is noticeably off key. The whole of "furtiva" is slightly flat, and that's not just portamento on "negli occhi". That's not to say he isn't a talented singer; he improves in the second half, has a beautiful tone and evidently has great potential, but let's not be naïve. Accusations of racism because of an honest critique are ridiculous. - And the bassoons are flat too.
You are listening to a reduced quality recording in youtube recorded by a handycam.
Depending on his voice's harmoic qualities, depending on the acousics of the hall and the cameras position etc the cam's mike wont be able to record the same, because it wont be able to capture all of the harmonics. So sometimes you'll hear it flat sometimes sharp. Some times you'll hear it better sometimes worse. Please consult a sound engineer for more information.
The best tenor voice since Pavarotti. Brings a tear to my eye. Such a powerful voice too and creamily smooth! If I could be a tenor, he's who I'd love to sound like. His voice is perfect for Bel Canto
Why doesnt he has better career!!!if he does better technic why he can not sing in bigger opera house!!You have to be honest for yourself and hear him again, you will understand he is flat.
You can use friendship of art.Dont be racist!Show me another Turkish Tenor who made such a great career like him . Even we have alotof beautiful voices. So it's not easy to be accetable in opera world specially there is a racist people like you. Ask your self.
If you are Turkish and hidding you behind the nickname, you are such an asshole. Its not difficult to understand couse you are the gelous one.
ha!ha!you guys(maestro& 1st greektenor) are so funny!using Youtube for your arguments..very cultured and mature of you..meanwhile you forget to enjoy the music...how sad to bring your ethnic differences into music..
What a stupid comment. If the orchestra is flat (which pitch are you talking abaout? 440? 441? 442? or 443?) and the singer is flat too, they are together in tune and everything is OK.
Thanks for posting this up and recording it - the sound quality is amazing - I heard Bulent sing for the first time last saturday in glasgow (Edgardo - Lucia) he is a complete sensation the tenor voice of the next decade, When is he going to fully explode onto the scene - he is a complete sensation
I m listening again and again, almost everday .really this is one of the best Nemorino aria ever I did heard...What a big emotion ,what phrasing...Bravo Maestro Bezduz...
He is the Maestro of Belcanto Repertoire.I dont mention any name but recently Bezduz is the best of afew Belcanto singer ..I m sure we will see him soon at La Scala or Met.
Yav gardasim kimdir bu adam neden bana bu videolari gonderirsiniz, neden bagiriyor bu adam, dogru durust turku soyliyen adam gondermiyorsunda bunumu gonderiyorsunuz bana.Gardas sen neden bagiriyon biaciklasana bana anlamis deilim ben
1th I saw you in Marseille as Gennaro,I thought your voice like young Aragal or Bergonzi maybe not the size of voice!!..You got better and better ,I saw you in Montpellier last year as Edgardo your voice got more space..So this shows you improve and arise again and again day by day.,So..
Bravo young Fellow,Thank you for sharing your magical talent..
Amazing soft and clear tone production all over the high tessitura ... Whithout neglecting the sensivity of the text... A sparkling voice from Turkey...
Che bella voce. Che bel uomo.solo Dio può fare altrettanto... This was an absolutely stunning performance! Most people on this earth are only follow their instinct like an animal and nothing else. But sometimes, somewhere in the same earth somebody is different. I guess Bezduz is one of them..Both are a gift from God.Voice and the heart. They make you feel that life it self is divine...
Perhaps the greatest modern day tenor...a small handful are better..and that's a maybe

You are not honest. As I see in your info since join to youtube there is no other clip that you comment.Don't talk about Honesty.
semihleyli61 4 years ago
No, he really wasn't flat. Sorry. He bellowed a bit on the first Ab, but not the subsequent ones, and I don't think the Bb ending added anything, really. Good sound, good technique (from the sound of it) and good intonation. Tenors of this standard are not common. I think Florez has the edge over him in Bel Canto, though.
colino72 4 years ago
I think if you can not hear him and his intination,I do not have to say anything.(Begining of the aria)
Also on this tags why is he using Pavarotti name???Can you explain to me.Also watch Mr.Pavarotti(King of the Belcanto)

Listen greek 1/4 tenor, why you are obsessive about him I added this videos because he wunderful tenor you are the only one or afew.if you dont stop writing negative and obsessive words I must block you.Ok.Making critic and belemish is not the same!
maestoso33 4 years ago
Well, you say he is flat, I say he isn't!!! You are no more right than I am, I don't believe.
colino72 4 years ago
I don't think he is flat at all. His "quelle festo" was a little shouted. and his "vo might ahve been a little flat but the rest of the song was was on pitch. And the on the Bb he is spot on
zuleron 4 years ago
We are all professionals, he is not flat.
Besides I don't think he needs help in you tube.
Check his bio.
Regards.

- And the bassoons are flat too.
seligster125 4 years ago
You are listening to a reduced quality recording in youtube recorded by a handycam.
Depending on his voice's harmoic qualities, depending on the acousics of the hall and the cameras position etc the cam's mike wont be able to record the same, because it wont be able to capture all of the harmonics. So sometimes you'll hear it flat sometimes sharp. Some times you'll hear it better sometimes worse. Please consult a sound engineer for more information.
Best Regards

The best tenor voice since Pavarotti. Brings a tear to my eye. Such a powerful voice too and creamily smooth! If I could be a tenor, he's who I'd love to sound like. His voice is perfect for Bel Canto

Why doesnt he has better career!!!if he does better technic why he can not sing in bigger opera house!!You have to be honest for yourself and hear him again, you will understand he is flat.
1stGreekTenor 4 years ago
If you are really Greek and Singer even Tenor!

Bravo young Fellow,Thank you for sharing your magical talent..
