Ah man.. I took piano lessons from age 5-8, and I'm looking to take it up again (I'm 15 now). The way he teaches you the notes... it's so patronising and condescending, it pisses me off.

i have a question, if you're in the key of C and you play an A chord, do you form it on what the key is (A, C, E) or do you form it on what on 2 whole steps from the A (A, C#, E#)

I think I know what it is...1 4 5 are the notes in the order of the alphabet...C is the 1. F is the 4 and G is the 5. so D is the 2. E is the 3 and then F and G

For chromatic scales add 2,2,1,2,2,2,1, for major chords add 4,3 (Exclude the root note, as in do not count C if ure trying to find its scale/chord.) 1 = 1 semitone ..its a little like maths..hope i got it right and hope it helps

I am SURPRISED that you haven't received any compliments for playing the piano, because apparently you're a LOT more better than lypur. He spends a quality amount of time talking in his videos rather than being on topic which is what you're doing. I think you deserve an awful lot more credit than he should.
