Hi I am building a pc with same motherboard including AMD FX-60, Nvidia 9600 gt 1gb SLI, 1tb hd, and 4 gb ram could you please recommend me some nice case under 80$ shipping included and one more question will everything work well with Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit because I remember reading that someone had some issues with this motherboard. I already bought everything except the motherboard and case. Please reply and I will subscribe :)
@jokerpks A very good and very NICE case but HUGE (that is good and important) is the Transformer case, you can find it at xoxide website it has the price you are looking for. But, remember that the good cases come without P.S.U. because is a choise of the builder hand... About the windows, yes, its true, if you want to use the whole 4gb of ram you need to install 64 bits but hey, I'm using 32 bits 1 gb less but more compatibility ... I hope it can help you
@rhaltech also one more question in the case you get to decide how many fans to get what would you recommend if ths is my system go on the web it tells you what goes with the case:
Processor: AMD Athlon™ 64 FX-60 Dual Core Processor ~2.60GHz planning to oveclock to at least 2.8Ghz , I want 3.0Ghz thought (Original Heatsink)
Memory: 4096 MB RAM
Hard Drive: 1 TB
Video Card: NVIDIA® GeForce 9600GT 1GB SLI 2 Cards
@rhaltech read 2 comments before sorry for spaming i found a cheaper nice case with 3 fans included plz tell me if my spec i told u before will fit and my system will be running fast and cool. :)
@jokerpks This is nice but I think is not big enough for the nirvana cpu fan. Power Supply can be very important in the moment for built a computer. The one you see on the video was fried for a supposed good power supply. For cool temperature you will need room for better air flow between components and if you will make SLI better choose a bigger one, you need a power at least 500 w for real not generic, SLI will demand real power.
@rhaltech ok thanks i already have a 750 W power supply when i bought it the guy said i can start a engine with it O_O lol my last question I am really sorry but i wan a good gaming system like yours really thank you you helped me alot will the case provided below fit and when you got website which fan should i get look in the link. THIS IS MY LAST COMMENT SRY FOR SPAMING AND TNX FOR HELP :)
@jokerpks My system has only 2 120m fans. One in and the other out. Is not the amount of fan that will make it run cooler, by the way,try to make the overclock using the multiplier do not use voltage,it will run cooler. If the last link that you send is the case you will use, I think you can have all fans that it can handle.750 can really start a rocket. Zeroterm is a very tall fan, in a regular case you have to remove the fan on the side door. I can send you a picture of my system if you want.
@rhaltech wow dude I chose Sunbeam Silent Storm Case - Black/Silver thank you so much. You have really helped me a lot thanks the case is nice and the good price wow I cant wait to start building. Thank you so much!!!! you can add me on xfire hitmangamer12 or for steam you can pm me privatly. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!! You really helped me save a lot of money :) Thank You!!!
I don't know if is better, but it sure is GOOD... I use AMD Phenom with stock speed at 2.6 ghz x4 with overclock 3.2 ghz x4 same temperature no problems with hangs of something like that. As I think I said before, the only cons I see with this cooler is that I barely can use the memory slots with the 4 memories installed. I mean, if the memory are tall you will be limited with 3 slots and you can not use the full dual channel with all slots, I don't know if you know what I mean...
I'm to lazy to switch from my girlfriends account, but it looks like you and I have a very similar setup. But... I have a AMD 4800+ sk939 2.4GHz oc'ed @ 2.6GHz going to do more overclocking when I get some pc4000. with 1gb stick of Corsair XMS and 2x1gb sticks of OCZ
PC3200/ddr-400 running @ 217MHz = ddr-433 at 2.3.2.6 T2 timings, a A8N32-SLI-Deluxe, Zalman CNPS 9700,and a EVGA 7950gt ko. I need new GCF's all running stable. CPU idle=27c load=44c. I want a i7 920
Don't get the Zalman, Zalman has gone down, they ain't the cooling master's anymore, this is the best under 92$, Best cooling, awsome look, and nice sound...
I got 32 idle, 36 full load at cpu.
And 28 idle, 32 full load at system with this cpu cooler. i got an E7200 @ 2.53Ghz and an asus Pk/epu motherboard(Socket 775)
ive had a butter fly for the longest time dude i SWEAR by zero therm and the vga cooler i just always wanted a normal version they finaly listend the butter fly gimik was kinda lame this is the one i want and im gonna build again and get it i took the scredriver and mashed the lights out on my butter fly (was red) im just over the neons... and it all looks better with no lights.
Is that lights on your memory? That's pretty cool. What CPU do you have (is it OC'ed?) and what's your temps? I'm not sure if I should get this or the Zalman. CNP9700
Hi can I ask you what you would reccomend, this or a zalman 9700, i have an e8400, i dont plan to overclock it at all but i will be gaming with the computer so it will be on full load almost all the time, i dont really care about the noise - obviously within reason i dont want it to sound like a hoover, but which will be better to keep it cool, i will have which ever cooler i get on full rpm all the time. ????? THANKS
I have a Q6600 with stock intel cooler running @ stock frequencies. It idles 28c and 38c under load. I am going to overclock it soon so I need a good cooler. How do you like your ZeroTherm? I was thinking about getting the Tuniq though seems to be much better for overclocking.
If you have the same mobo, you know that ASUS works HOT... any processor you put on it will be run hotter than other mobo. The CPU I'm using with the Nirvana is an Opteron 180 (2.4 ghz) dual core. The temps run on 37 C idle / 42 C almost full load / 49 C Full load. with the stock cooler, the temps was higher.
I'm running a 3800X2 at 2.2GHZ, and i want to push it more but my stock cooler runs at like
47-49 idle and up to 53 on load. I want a better cooler so that i can go more, and this fan is one that i was thinking about getting. would you recommend it?
Dude, you need to do somethings before you get the cooler:
1- what temp are you running outside
2- Does your case allow you much airflow (aluminum can be the best )
3- What thermal paste do you have to use (silver or ceramic)
Then, try to reach a cooler with plenty RPM (at least 2500 RPM if is a 120 mm fan and for a silent operation. And of course, efficient dissipation of heat.
you can review it or try the zalman, both are very good coolers.
One more thing it's so hard to find in Canada. The only place you can get one of those is from Tigerdirect, it cost $ 63 plus shipping. Overall is around $90 CA Dollars.
yo dude i have a abit dead mobo well my bios failed and now its technicaly dead becuase abit tech support sux and i cant send them my bios chip cuz they dont fuking pik up the phone! but if i get this baord will mmy opteron 185 2.6ghz dual core work on this?
Planning on buying a nirvana very soon. Also, did that ram have fucking leds on it? Can you give me the make and model of the ram, I might just have to buy some lol.
YES...Those leds come with the ram. CORSAIR ram, if you use DDR or DDR2 there are available with leds but you have to pay a little extra money.. About Nirvana. It really keeps the best cool.
Is this on a Mid Tower Case?

the Zerotherm nirvana is better, it is one of the best CPU HSF out right now aside from the tuniq tower and the thermalright ultra 120 extreme

what are you talking about the zerotherm is a great cooler. a lot of coolers look alike.
kiruvin32 3 years ago
also be aware that the Tjmax for that chip is 95. not the 105 many programs have it set at.
can cause temps to read 10 degrees high. I recommend RealTemp. Or coretemp with an adjusted Tjmax.

1. It's about 22 C
2. My case is the Ultra Grid and has 2 120mm fans(front, back), 80mm fan right over cpu, 80mm fan supplying air for gfx card and chipset
3. Im using the cooler that came with the cpu, and the pre applied thermal paste(idk)
