  • When your soul is fulfilled with emotion after listening to something like this nothing else matters...

Adios.

  • they song in mixed idiom from iceland and invented lenguaje...i think that.

  • Seth Rogan on trombone?

  • Funny...the bearded guy singing and playing the piano reminds me a young Rasputin. ( :-D

  • The brilliance of music is breaching the barriers of language and delving into the wonder that it brings to you without requiring translation. I simply LOVE Sigur Ros! If anything, it creates a strong desire to learn the Icelandic language and culture even more.

  • you know, i dont understand what they're saying, but they're one of my favourite bands ever.

  • I keep hearing "One" anyone else?

  • best for me more best ++++++ SIGUR ROS ALL THE BEST 2009 JICEY CARINA FRIENDS PEACE FOR THE PLANET AND FOR ANY LIFE

  • Hell no!!!!! The song was written in Sigur Ros veraculate language which is Icelandic, the musicality of the lyrics was concieved that way, translating it would just ruin it. Besides what if we find out the lyrics are actually dull or stupid. Let it keep the charm of its mystery.

  • veraculate Icelandic I like that sounds cool kinda icy clean environment happy planet.. Sigur Ros should perform at the Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen in Dec that would be symbolic

  • I meant vernaculate, typo, sorry. Icy clean... funny. :-)

  • I wouldn't know the difference ;)

    yeh, icy clean.. mmm

  • @mutedisease I've seen the lyrics translated into English.

They're still quite beautiful and enchanting. :)

  • WOAH! Amazing song. Sigur Ros, you can talk in Icelandic, German, Russian, Italian, or (preferably) English, but your tunes will always rock. :)

  • Awesome tune! Have no idea what they're singing but such great energy!

  • I was hoping something more abstract or surreal, like they did in Gobbledigook and Glosoli

  • inní mér hjarta

  • it is Islandic.

You can get translations into english of their songs on their official homepage

  • Icelandic or Isleska

  • all my illusions are gone now... hahaha

  • GREAT!!!!!

this song makes me wanna learn this language!!! ♥♥♥♥♥

  • It's not actually an official language or anything :P they make the words up themselves

  • isn't that icelandic?

  • Nope, I thought so too at first, but they said it themselves in an interview

  • No. This song is really in icelandic

But Festival, Gong, Saeglopour, Olsen Olsen, the whole ( ), and some others are in Hopelandic, the language they made..

  • of course it´s icelandic
