He, loving us back, gives us the ability through the holy spirit to be obedient. The gifts of the holy spirit are love, charity, temperance, etc. He takes away the desire to sin, and therefore obedience follows because we love him, not because some preacher tells us that we're going to hell if we don't keep a saturday sabbath! The Temple John is measuring is the Heavenly Temple. Because John was exiled to Patmos In around 90 A.D. . This was during the reign of Diocletian. If it would have been around A.D. 64 as you say my friend, John would've been killed like Peter and Paul. Remember that the Tabernacle, and the Three Temples i.e. Solomon's Zerubbabel's and Herod's. They are copies of the Heavenly Sanctuary, where Christ serves as our Great High Priest. My friend, You'll find the Heavenly Temple in Revelation.

Wrong - there is no historical record supporting the exile of John during Domician's reign. In fact Domician didn't persecute Christians as Nero did in the 60's AD. Historically, John is more likely to have been on Patmos under Nero.

Also, since John was commanded to measure the Temple it was physical and still standing in Jerusalem.

There is no reasonable explaination except that it was Herod's Temple completed in 63 AD.

Because John wrote "let him who reads understand..." which means it was a coded message. The 144,000 was not coded it was explained in the verses that followed, ie,. the 12 tribes of Israel were sealed/regenerated by the Gospel.

The 600, 60 and 6 spelled in greek letters is translated into Hebrew letters (John's native tongue) thus spells NRN KZR which is the Heberw spleeing for Nero Caesar.

REV 17:9, 10 - the 7 heads are 7 mountains - ie., the 7 hills of Rome. They are also 7 kings, ie., 7 Caesars of Rome:

Definition of Antichrist: anyone who denies that Jesus Christ has come - in the flesh. That includes Jews, & Gnostics of the first century because John wrote that antichrist was there at the time he wrote.

The Beast was named - and the 7 Churches, to whom John wrote, understood it was Nero. This was recorded among the early church fathers.

The Book of revelation does not prophecy about OUR future but of the 1st century - AD 64- 70 . "the things must SHORTLY take place" Rev 1:3 John wrote it in AD 64 when Nero was Caesar.

The Mark was the number of a man -Nero Caesar. the number is 600, 60 and 6 - not 666. In Hebrew it spells Nero's name. We have no future Beast to look for ... but there are many anti-christs - - - - -

Whats they got to do with the Last days my friend? Because John the only apostle alive wrote the book of Revelations which indicate that He is prophecing about the last days. AD70 was prophecied by Jesus. Read Matt 24:14,15

The "system" was the Roman Empire. It was under the "ruler" Nero who died from a sword through his head (suicide). This threw Rome into chaos and confusion, from Galba (ruling a season - 6 mos) to the next 4 Caesars in less than a few years.

There is no getting around the fact that Rev was prophecying of the Fall of Jerusalem, as well as the tribulation under Roman persecution.

To cast it 2000 yrs into the future is unfaithful to the text and context of the Book.

You have built a doctrine upon an obscure section of prophecy. This violates one of the most basic hermenuetics: First study the clear didactic passages to understand doctrine clearly.

The previous chapter spoke of the succession of kingdoms then... after the 4th, " shall Michael stand up,"... this is in agreement with the vision of the statue in Ch 2 & the beasts in ch 7. Same progression of kingdoms.

You are straining to prop up a futuristic prophecy that has already been fulfilled.

I just explained that ch 11 is yet another description of the 4 kingdoms of man (one-world empires) being over-thrown by the coming of the Christ AD 27-30... These empires are described as beasts.

Compare to chapters 2 & 7 and see for yourself.

Ch 12 continues the vision.. remember the Bible in it's original Hebrew didn't have chapter divisions... chapters were added to make it easier to study and talk about.
