im a fan of 40 k and its fluff and i have to say this game disappointed me. sweet f all happened didnt it? the only thing that intruiged me at all was the power source resist and it wasnt resolved. play was repetetive and once the wow factor wears off theres not enough skill and depth to keep me interested. id describe the game as a cross between gears of war and fable 2 pretty much. moments of goodness but ultimately average: 6.5/10

I'm so glad they didn't do things like tell you "who these bad guys are", or "explain the twists to the plot a lot better", because I don't really wanna sit there and watch a million long cutscenes explaining things about the 40k universe.

good review, the game is basically just made for fans of the 40k universe, they do tell you a good story. but when it comes to orks they dont really need a whole reason why they fight. they just like fighting. the reason in MP that you take so much damage and move so slow is that the armor your wearing is literally able to take anti tank rockets and survive. the "jump pack" doesn't behave like a jetpack because its simply not a jet pack. in lore and other games its just well...a jump pack :3
I know the "horde" mode is free, but it sounds like they are planning DLC packs... lets hope they don't have too heavy a price tag. Plus I know it is not GoW and I'm a hugh WH&WH40k fan, so this is not a GoWfanboy comment, but I think the players will be either: a WHFan that will love this, or a gamer trying it out and comparing it to GoW and with Horde mode being released after GoW it maybe hard to find a group for it. But altogether game looks great, nice review (first one I seen out). Thanks.

I thought the story was very linear. There were a lot of areas I wanted to check out but invisible walls and the fact that you can't jump stopped me. However in terms of presentation i think this game did better then expected. Online was actually surprisingly more fun then I imagined it would be with only two modes. Also there are the messenger skulls that you collect throughout the game and they placed these perfectly. the are not hard to find as the game is so linear but they aren't too easy.
The game would be better if the orcs dont sound Australian

Also there are the messenger skulls that you collect throughout the game and they placed these perfectly. the are not hard to find as the game is so linear but they aren't too easy.
