@DWJ1318 look at the demographic shift. People will tell you that politics is to blame, but the government just reflects the will of the people. If their will, which is blacks, is to sit around and collect welfare checks from the evil white man, then what you get is shown in this video.

Detroit is a ghost town... It has no hope of being revived. The reason this happened is because people ( you know who) never picked up after themselves and when you neglect your environment it falls apart.

If you invest in a house that goes nowhere in the "New Detroit" and the city wants to do something with the land, don't they(the city) have to buy you out? they can't just buldoze your property right? If so, can't you still make money in the long run off of this run down place? I'm new to investing and really have no idea lol just a question.

@meeowww1 If the state puts a manditory purchase order on the property, then they're obliged to get an estimate of the houses current value, and give you that amount. No more. So if your buying cheap houses for $30000 hoping that the neighbourhood will become much more valuable in 10-15 years, then the city comes and buys it off you after 2, you'll ownly get the value at that time.... so likely around your initial $30000 investment - after you include your overheads this is a big financial hit.

Yes, the "houses", or at least the houses' EXTERIORS are nice. But the houses themselves were never the problem- it's the NEIGHBORS you have to worry about. Remember ; you can always repair a house, but you can't repair a neighborhood...........

@FrankeeFraud Thats exactly it. You are in a violent, negroe infested jungle. You'll be attacked, your home will be burglarized the minute you leave and you'll end up abandoning it like the rest.
