I'm not going to say that the M4 is crap, but the Ak47 and any of it's varrients is way better. You can drop an Ak47 off a cliff, you could take a dump on it,, you could bury it in a dessert come back a year later and it would still work.

@6246701 Umm, okay. The AK47 is better, if you live in a freaking mud puddle. Who throws their gun over cliffs, takes a dump on it, then bury's it? Reliability won't help when you can't hit your target at 200 yards. The AK47 is inaccurate as hell.

dude your wrong on this one. i've shot an ak 74 at a target at 500 yards and hit target.

it was good ammo and i knew how too compensate for the shot but its still completely possible. maybe you just aren't experienced with them haha.

though its not as easy as using a C7 (or M-16a2 for you americans) i'll give you that. but your totally wrong on it not being able too do that.

@hehehe929 It has nothing to do with aim. It has to do with the bullets flight path. A test was formed with M16 vs AK-47. The M16 fired 5 shots at a target at 200 yards, all shots hit the target. The AK-47 shot 5, and only one tagged the bottom left corner, it didn't even hit the silhouette part in the form of a body.

Think about it, this is the AMERICAN military channel. It is made for AMERICANS, not to mention that this episode is about the US AIRBORNE.

Of course, if you go to ANOTHER countries military channel it will be about THEIR respective armies.

Of course if you go to other countries, military channels WILL NOT exclusively talk about their own armies. From my experience, our own canadian channels air shows about france's military, USA military, canadian military, german military and lots more, yet, beleive it or not, it's intended for the CANADIAN POPULATION :O , cuz they're mostly aired in fucken Canada. I watched other "episodes" of weaponlogy and just happen to write this comment on the US Airborne, which, of course is about the USA.

I've seen shows about the french foreign legion, the boer war, the eastern front, the british north african campaign, and the japanese navy on American television. I didn't just imagine all those shows, I saw them myself.

Most troops didn't like the M3 and preferred Thompsons(just like most troops preferred an M1Garand over an M1Carbine) because of its lower rate of fire compared to theThompson(M3:350-450rpm,Thom­pson:600-1200,depending on the model)and because of its stopping power.Thompson was more effective than theM3 in close combat, the only reason theM3 replaced theThompson is that it is easier to make. Also theM3 was orginally designed as a disposable weapon, once it no longer worked you just toss it away.
