They are somewhat similar. Guild wars has a pretty big single player storyline and the worlds are very similar. Both are RPGs, and the music is composed by the same guy. You can see how the comparisons are made. I think Guild Wars actually had a better storyline than Elder Scrolls games, but the Elder Scrolls have unparallelled other content.

@LTS1337 caster looks a bit easy. healing in 1 hand and offensive spell in the other.. eh. probably melee of some sort. on the 2nd to the highest difficulty setting then play a caster or stealth character on the highest difficulty for a second play through.
They all have good music but I'd say Morrowind has the best music, then Oblivion, then Guild Wars...but then again, I haven't played all the expansions.
I own and love all 3. Not a pvp'r so I will compare the 3 as pve's. Now to all who say GW is gay, out of the 10 mmos I tried, GW has zero traces of homosexuality compared to the other 9, well Vindictus is cool too, so 8. TES=flying, walking on water, levitation & GW=no. GW isn't as open like TES but the graphics I like better-it has a comic book feel. TES you can see things forming up ahead, might just be my pc though! You can't cheat in GW by changing the difficulty in mid-battle like in TES!
TES graphics=more realistic looking than GW but still cartoony-ish. Everything in GW is so detailed, even from far away. GW doesn't have sunrise and sunset like in TES, but it does have the option of partying with other human players. I haven't played any of the expansions for any of the 3 games so I don't know much there except that all have many hours of gameplay! I'd say if you only have little time in a day to play a game, play GW. You need at least an hour or 2 to really get into TES games!
i dont like that in morrowind you can fail attacks and shit but in oblivion i dont like that the map markers tell you exactly where everything is all the time, if they made it so the map marker wasnt as helpful i would like it more

Morrowind wins hands down. The creativity of the landscapes, characters, and monsters is leaps and bounds ahead of Oblivion. If I wanted to see wolves, bears, and pine trees I could watch the discovery channel. Quite simply, Oblivion is extremely "dumbed down" to cater to a generation of Halo fanatics, which is exactly what Oblivion feels like: a First person shooter with swords. the sounds in morrowind were amazing .
I still like Daggerfall a lot better than Morrowind, even with it's ancient graphics and the limitations of the time it was made in. And I never really liked Oblivion much at all. I never played Guildwars.

Guild Wars was fun for the first year or so back in 2005 before Factions came out and ruined the game. Doesn't compare to TES though in terms of overall immersion and fun. I have high hopes SKYRIM will be the best yet!!!

The only reason the person who uploaded this video chose this song is because the original soundtrack/audio wasn't licensed by it's owner so YouTube therefore had to perform an 'Audio Swap' so the user can choose a track already licensed by this website so there is no conflict with licensing agreements and what not. Just read the Description people.
The original music was EONS better!!! Wind it up, from Gwen Stefani. To tell the truth, switching it to this new one simply ruined this video IMHO. Sorry.

Morrowind ALL DAY!!! I mean Oblivion was beautiful game and the fighting system is better, but Morrowind had story, culture, exploration, freedom... simply put it was the perfect game. The only people who didn't like it were people who needed a linear game and didn't understand that it was the pinnacle of actual ROLE playing. (They just wanted a leveling system.)

The original music was EONS better!!! Wind it up, from Gwen Stefani. To tell the truth, switching it to this new one simply ruined this video IMHO. Sorry.

I don't blame you for the music, i know how hard it is to find something that works from the audi swap :p That said i thought the movie was pretty poor, or atleast from a GW perspective, using newb chars in newb areas with newb armours never works well for this type of video :(

Morrowind ALL DAY!!! I mean Oblivion was beautiful game and the fighting system is better, but Morrowind had story, culture, exploration, freedom... simply put it was the perfect game. The only people who didn't like it were people who needed a linear game and didn't understand that it was the pinnacle of actual ROLE playing. (They just wanted a leveling system.)

Okay this is how it is.
Morrowind - Great culture and environment, more spells and weapons/armors than Oblivion.
Oblivion - Great physics engine, graphics, and combat system. Not as much culture as Morrowind.
GW - Why is this here? Yes I have played it, it isn't even a good game.
I would have to say Morrowind would win but Oblivion is a great game.

@lagging199527 GW is amazing. You just didn't know how to play it, so you shouldn't judge it. GW is a perfect game for HC PvP players, and requires a lot of skill.

@lagging199527 Well, it's easy to play PvE or RA or some stuff like that... but when it comes to HA and GvG... You can't even compare an rpg with an MMO. RPGs are easy. Guild Wars isn't. I know it because I've played it for over 1700 hours. I'm 100% sure you don't know how to play Guild Wars at all. If you've played under 1000 hours of it, you're a noob at it. I'm sure Oblivion and Morrowind are great games, but they are games for casual players. GW is for HC players.

@lagging199527 You just didn't know how to play. I've played it for 3 years and I'm still playing it a lot. 1700 hours isn't ven that much. One of my friends in the game has played over 7000 hours and I know one guy who has played it for over 20 000 hours. You just can't even imagine how good game it is, when you don't know how to play it.

You can't compare a mmorpg with a rpg. Thats like trying to compare a shooter with a racing game...
Besides Guild Wars is total shit, devoid of any real story and atmosphere and filled with a bunch of people who just spam crap and cyber. Elder Scrolls games win hands down in terms of freedom, story and not having to put up with people you don't want to play with. I hope those games never gain a multilayer mode.
