Love the G8. I own an 09 G8 GT. I recently read in Motortrend that GM brass finally admitted to holding back other cars to keep from competing with the Corvette. They are finally now allowing the Trashmaro to have the same HP as the Chevette..oops.. Corvette. Reason stating that if they let the trashmaro have the same HP as the Corvette....they would have had to let the Firebird have it too. long live Pontiac fans!! .....Corvette Summer...was that really a movie?????

I miss those machines!!! @ChanceGTO1967 I actually work at a Pontiac Buick GMC dealership. In 2009, Pontiac actually out sold Buick and Cadillac combined by over a 100,000 units. The reason they actually axed Pontiac was because, they lost money on them due to outrageous rebates and things. Every 1sv Pontiac G6 (base 4cyl model) was a $1500 loser. It cost more to make the cars than they could sell them for. Ironically, that was the best seller.

I hope not, Chevy gets everything. Give it to buick. They need a GSX. Chevy is the reason Pontiac wasn't allowed to build their SOHC and DOHC V8s that they had designed in the sixties. Chevy is the reason GM killed the superior Pontiac V8, and eventually Pontiac all together.

@PontiacAlfaHSV Pontiac and Buick where both on the chopping block and only one was aloud to remain. Buicks are very popular in China and out sold Pontiac so Pontiac got axed. But I agree if Pontiac was able to grow with out being shadowed by chevy this would be a very different auto industry here in America. Look up 64 Pontiac Banshee. (Pontiac Corvette)
