Thanks for the update, I remember there were two of these cars that ran with factory drivers here in New Zealand. I most likely have the year wrong as it was a long time ago and I don't know what happenend to the other cars. From memory none were taken back home to the factory, only guessing and going from what I have been told.
Thanks for the info, I appreciate any comments about this car.
Man, I have bad news. The Lada VFTS-s' were built on the base of the model 2105. But the 2105 type came out from factory, only 1982! The VFTS Homologation date is: 1982. oct. 1. So this car wasn't "lived" in the seventies. Otherwise, she's beautiful. Only a few pieces living today. Here in Hungary i know only one of them (of course original factory, not the copies)
Hi there, yes the Lada was one of two or possibly three brought out to New Zealand by the factory for the international rally in about 1974/5 or thereabouts.
The car comes out occasionally for rally sprints and in this case a motokhana in the Hawkes Bay region.
I don't know how you would get on finding one of these now, most factory rally cars would have dissapeared by now, shame to see these old school cars going.
