Hi! So how is your novel coming? I came across your channel on the Goodreads group Youtube Book Reviewers. I love NaNoWriMo so far and it's my first year! My friend and I are chugging along, checking in at 19,600 (me) and her at 20,100. =)
May I ask how exactly you started this popular channel? I've never thought of doing book reviews on Youtube, but I would love to start...
Ha, I dunno if it's possible with my College Schedule. Plus I'm a perfectionist and I'm almost never (if at any time) satisfied with what I write. But good luck to everyone who is participating. =D
It's so awesome to see fellow writers on here! :) I would really like to do NaNoWriMo but I'm already having trouble with developing characters and an enitre plotline that works well. That's my problem. If I start to write a novel and the plot starts out well but falls flat, I wouldn't know what to do haha. I don't know, it seems really cool and fun. Maybe by doing NaNoWriMo I can overcome the obstacles in my writing. Have any advice for someone who is doing NaNo for the first time?
@BooksareBeautiful22 What you need to think of first is that NaNo is supposed to be fun. I participated last year, got to 50,000 words and realized that I didn't like my novel at all. But that's okay. Sometimes that happens. The biggest thing you need to learn when writing this year. Novels will not be perfect after the first draft. And if you spend four days trying to make the first paragraph the best ever... you won't get anywhere. Just write. You can edit after November!
Oh yes, I'm feeling bad already for weeks for not plotting and working on an outline. I participated for the first time last year - and won :-D
I was working a lot back then, I used most of my commuter time, to not fall behind too much and still had to get up early on the weekend to make up my losses of the week before work. But it was so much fun, can't wait to start. I'm Anywiebs btw.
@1book1review Haha, I know right? I'm feeling dreadful as well! I started plotting back in August, got my job, and then stopped. But it's the weekend, and I'm picking it back up today! Good luck!
Kate you are soooooooooooooooooo awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't know you also write. I was planning on doing nanowrimo but I am working on a novel now and school and a part time job not to forget youtube so I don't think I can. Where can I find your work? - Chichi
@h0neybunn69 Aw! Why thank you! I do write and I love it! Unfortunately, I'm too much of a perfectionist, and I haven't sent in my manuscript to any publishers. But it's in it's fourth draft right now, and I hope that within the next few years I'll be able to snag a great agent and see it on shelves!

@LittleBookOwl Good! That's how I felt my first time, and NaNo was the thing that gave me the gumption to actually write it!
