People seem to be arquing which is the best music generation and genre(for example old ballads vs. modern glitter pop) and there is no accurate answer for that question, but the fact is that many modern songs contain the same kind of notes and chords as the old ones, and the claim that music has become too commercial is true, but the music business needs to be "updated". I personally listen to both these "generations". If the song has good melody, then it doesnt matter if its pop or classic.
