I simply cannot imagine why a station more than 1000 miles from where a tropical storm would make landfall would bother to lead with this story, let alone run the BREAKING NEWS animation multiple times, complete with dramatic reporter hand gesturing and "JUST HOURS AWAY" lingo. Aren't people in Boston smarter than this? Was there nothing within all of New England that wouldn't have made a better lead?

@ConnorCrosbyPrdctns And I guess that's why most Bostonians who defected WBZ (when they used to be #1 in New England for news) for WHDH are already defecting back.

By the way, WHDH originally considered airing a 10:00 news in lieu of "The (short-lived) Jay Leno Show", but had second thoughts.
