Wow... I still get some tears in my eyes, when watching your videos... I gave a birth to a preemie myself almost 5 months ago, and I have to tell you, that all that what you've been writing and all those videos, and everything was such an inspiration for me to fight, and... I just don't find the right words... I am extremely thankful for you, that you found the courage to post this videos, and your thought and share it with other people...
i can imagine you must have felt so happy to be holding your little miricle baby! i remember holding my 3 pd preemie, so i can so relate, I am so sorry for your loss! Your baby will be in my heart forever, thank you for your videos!! would love to be friends with you and your wife, you truly are inspiration to me! God bless
Also i was wandering what is really wrong with Kayleigh? Why was she expected to die while still in the pregnancy? Why was she born so early? Why in some of the later videos iv watched of her and her family her head is EXTREMELY big? Why did Kayleigh end up dieing? Cause the last update i had gotten about her,she was doing quite better. Anyway My name is Lainey and if anyone can answer my questions please reply to me.
Kangaroo care is where you get to hold your child, skin to skin. Which in this case, is the best form of bonding for a preemie and when a mother has a hard time producing milk from delivering a preemie, this tremendously helps let the milk down. Great question! :)
And what, pray tell, do you expect the nurse (or respiratory therapist as may be the case) to do, Ghostof Brian? When parents come in to the NICU expecting to hold their preemie, it's not unusual for the ventilator to alarm nearly non-stop until the baby is stable and still again. The baby also has a cuffless endotracheal tube which allows for a large leak causing the ventilator to alarm low minute ventilation after detection of volume loss. Move a baby = lots of alarms. But u can blame theRN

Of course my situation was not that extreme as yours, as my daughter was a 34/35 weeks preemie... But the concerns were same...
GOD BLESS YOU GUYS! Keep your faith and don't ever let it go!
Hope you'll meet her in heaven!
Regards from Poland!!!

Iv watched this video of Adam doing
Kangaroo Care with Kayleigh and
iv also watched a video of Aimee doing
Kangaroo Care and iv noticed in both
videos that the nurses handling Kayleigh
were very rough with her! It seems like
they could have more care in the way
they handle a very premature and sick
baby!
