It stands for how far you want to be from them. An example would be your enemy is on the front row and you have a sword, choose the square with a 1 to stand on the panel in front of them then slice them with the sword.

What I don't get is, sure it's not the best Megaman game and was a test and all, but why didn't they still release it anyway in the US? :3 I man I think the games were pretty popular so it's not like they'd not get money, and being a bit simpler of a game wouldn't they technically have less to translate? :3 *since isn't there no real 'story' to it like the others?*

I think this game is supposed to play like an actual NetNavi thing like in the anime. :U

As in, of COURSE you don't control Megaman. You give him battle chips and tell him what to do, but there's no way to fully control him. I think that's why it's called "Real Operation". XD The GBA is essentially a PET.

the diffrence is that you dont operate them, you just make them use buster shot and battle strategys and battle chips so theres a BIG diffrence cause

1:if you suck at megaman battlenetwork this would be the answer

2:you dont fight, megaman does

3:youre not operating, just putting in chips and shooting
