I'm happy you were able to attend her classes in person and we appreciated your presence. I rarely ever respond on videos but as I just learned recently that this wonderful artist has passed I was compelled to respond after watching this video. I have been inspired as an artist by her and her contribution to myself and others in the artist community will be greatly missed. I was happy to see though the teaching is continuing on and I am sure she would be pleased with that.
@MBStudiosArt I took classes from Johnnie while we were in Saudi Arabia. I can't tell you how much that meant to me and how much I learned. I had planned on coming down to Houston and taking another class but never got a chance to do it. I am so sorry to hear of her passing, it's a loss to us all and especially her family. You have mine and Curtis condolences.
I will definately be purchasing a DVD! Wished I could have painted with Johnnie in Chicago. Hopefully one day - for now this will have to be the next best thing!
