I think I'm gonna upload a video of me playing this like in 3 weeks or so. I must say that, it's NOT impossible to play it at full speed, but you gotta be as good as Horowitz for example :P (which I'm obviously not ... not even 1/4 as good) ... or just be marasy8 :P .

But, if someone with enough time rearranges this song, it could be played at full speed with 2 people (4 hands)

Also, if you're wondering: this song is MUCH more difficult to play than sasoribi a.k.a scorpion fire

Actually, in the sheet music i found demon fire is "only" just as hard, if not easier than than the sheet i got for sasoribi.

Both pieces have similar tempo (170-185 with semiquavers) but you have jump around more with scorpion fire. However, this piece have more complicated 4-5 note chords.

That said, the sheets probably omitted a few parts in both pieces, otherwise they both would be completely impossible.

@Moretanks i tried them both. and while i can play sasoribi (not as marasy plays it) i really can't manage to play this one... i know sasoribi is slightly faster, but it's just simple notes one after another. this one instead has very fast chords that nobody would be able to play so fast...

How long did it take you to learn scorpion fire?

I'm trying to learn it now, although it is a bit too ambitious for someone of my skill level...

Some parts have to be omitted in both pieces. Sasoribi have a part near the end where you obviously need three hands.

@Moretanks it took me about 2 months, but i lost interest in it because i had to just keep repeating it over and over without it getting better, because 186 tempo is too fast, you just can't play it that fast. and i have been playing the piano for 11 years so i'm not exactly a noob.

Before trying this piece, you might wanna try alkan's pieces, and before that, try liszt's pieces, and before that, try chopin's pieces. This is like the ultimate BOSS level/piece.

@Piggywarz Chopin is definitely after Liszt, and would be after Alkan too if it weren't for his goddamn xcrazy time signatures. Seems to be a fad with contemporary composers.

Actually, this is about the same level as Fantasie-Impromptu unless you're cursed with small hands -- you definitely need big hands to do this piece.

tip: play at any speed in which you are comfortable, may it be 60bpm or 20bpm. just try to mAKE it as perfect as possible. Practice for comfort and not for speed. everytime you feel comfortable with that speed, try going a little faster, and then faster and faster. One day you will reach 183 bpm. PLay for comfort, not for speed. When you reach comfort, you reach speed. Comfort=Control. Control =Speed. PLAY FOR CONTROL DUN WORRY YOU WILL MAKE IT BOYZ/GALZ.

This is for 2 hands, and No, unless you're stunt, you can't play the song at this speed.

The arpeggio in this song (both hands) are impossible.

BUT you can play this at speed. I've adapted it slightly for my small hands but I can play this practically at full speed. Hopefully I'll get around to posting it when the right opportunity crops up!

I'd say it's more like a nocturne than an etude. You've got the rythmic movements of a nocturne, not sure about the chord changes, though, I'd need to see the piano sheet music.

Hmm I've never been keen on the whole modern-classical syle and it's cliches, it's still a bit iffy for me. This piece (to me) is just a mash-up of various classical pieces with some modern stylistic passages thrown if for "good measure". Having said that, etudes (if I'm right in saying) where created as technical excersises to improve the players technique not for how sounds. But I don't know. It's not my cup of tea tbh...
