Sexie, wonderful, was in love with some one else ,never said a thing but dreamed about him,all the time and this song brigns back memorys sweet ,at that time had a man and wished he felt like this song but it gave me hope that men still loved like that and had feelings Thank You Chazzie H
Songs like this made like "Bobby Brown" said. The "toughest homeboy" fall deep in love.I remember I use to ride my "Mongoose"(expert) bike to my girlfreind's house back then. Then let her ride my bike while I walk on our way to McDonalds.I missed the hell outta them days man.
This brotha just dropped off the music scene....i wonder why? He was really good and smooth...really liked his music and style. Wonder what he is doing these days?
What a joy to hear this song again! It's been years! This is the kind of music to put you in the mood for a wonderful night of romance! Eugene Wilde knows he can sing!!!!!!
I think someone "accidently" hit dislike on this beautiful classic... sometimes that cursor can be quite slippery.. True grown folx music. Gotta love it
I love listening to the classic hip hop because you always hear a beat or line from something that an artist in the 90's or now takes from it. Foxy Brown's "Get me home tonight" was taken from this song. Great song!
i just heard this song on 102.3 KJLH in CA. I'm so glad this song is on here. thanks Egotrip38. i'm not old enough to remember this song, but i love oldskool like this; REAL music.
Eugene! Eugene! This song still bumps...after all this time! If this doesn't set the mood........Lawdddd have mercy!!!! The other one is "Gotta Get You Home With Me Tonight"!!!! Another BAD ONE!!!! We need another CD Bro!!!
I was sixteen and I was singing songs like this in high school and in shows up and down the east coast. I miss those times as well. The music was romantic, the lyrics were memorable with a lot of meaning behind them and it reminds me of what music used to be all about; real love.
i was 12 when this came out and understood the talent this young man had for a great composer. this song was such a motivator for me (in high school) you know high school can be a drag esp in the 80's. yech! but eugene wilde was the bomb and he's still rocking it.
This song sounds too much "Gotta Take you home tonight" Personally, I'll always take "Gotta Take you home tonight" over this one. Too bad they don't make romantic music like that anymore. Where did black music make a wrong turn???
Takes me back to 1985 a twenty one year old Marine away from home. This music made men of me and my boys along with cameo the gap band, midnight starr, sos band, kashif, confunkshun they just don't make music like this any more. Thanks Eugene for the memories which i could go back in time and not leave.
@darkgreen0311-I feel you brah. I was stationed at ft.ord cali. back in 1988 and i tell you those were the greatest days ever. The music artist produced back then had so much substance, creativity, love, passion & a real meaning. Me & my boys would hit a club damn near 7 days a week. We were 20,21,22 no bills,no kids, lived on base & clubbed big time. With the exception of a few artist today, music is so shitty with no meaning, substance, or direction. Today it's all IMAGE, NO talent REQUIRED. SAD!
simply beautiful! This is what its all about!

I thought it was Glenn Jones who sung with Eugene, especially when I hear "Oh, girl I'll have you screaming out for more"
Plus the chorus sung the 1st time sound closely to New Birth's "Dream Merchant" ("Baby, come to me - let me make all of your dreams come true")
