  • I think this is a great thing to show everybody. Most people that live in the city don't even think about their meat being a living breathing thing. We owe it to the animals we eat to educate the public. We raise and slaughter our own cattle. But they are spoiled and treated with alot of respect and kindness. At least their last days are filled with calm and comfort.

  • @acagle2828 errrrrrr back up. what?????????????? did I REALLY just read "but they are spoiled and treated with alot of respect and kindness" please do more research before you start talking. I appreciate your comment but you need to educate yourself more on this subject so you are not fooled into thinking every animal is treated nicely. Infact more then 80% are mistreated.

  • This is why people are starving in India. Hitler was a vegetarian. These people have what the Bible calls "inordinate affection" (Colossians 3:5), an affinity for beasts above humans. These simple minded do-gooders are genocidal, they would wipe out billions of human beings in 5 seconds if they thought it would "save the environment".

  • @MQ1611 Hitler was not a vegetarian, he had stomach problems, but there is plenty of documentation showing his favorites foods were meat. But he did have a mustache, which must mean that all people who have mustaches are genocidal, right? Being kind to animals and people are not mutually exclusive. They are intrinsically tied, and you are blind for not seeing that. Why limit compassion? PS - we need "the environment" to survive. Animal agriculture is destroying it. Get with the program.

  • In one reply you say " I got your point." Yet then immediately follow up by asking what my point IS and if I even have one.

...Did your brain just divide by zero or something?

Anyway, let me add to my argument that veganism is pretentious fraud and folly. Human beings can live, long term, on a diet 100% exclusively of meat. Inuits do so, as fresh fruits and vegetables are scarce on the arctic tundra.

Yet a human being cannot survive on a vegan diet without dietary supplements.

  • I became vegan only 4 months ago and seriously, it's the best thing I did for not only myself but for the planet; the animals! I plan on being vegan forever! This story is beautiful!

  • Awww, she's so sweet.

    I'm so happy that I'm a vegan.

  • @foxyroxytm Doesn't it just completely reaffirm our choice to be vegan. It's so great :D

  • Millions of animals every year are killed by wheat and soy combines. So even if you go vegan, you're still contributing to the death of animals unless you plant and harvest your own crops. Note the animals killed are innocent WILD animals, not ones raised for slaughter.

    Enjoy your tofu, MURDERS.

  • @KingAdrock420 So instead of limiting the suffering, you're saying it's better to not do anything at all? That's awesome. OH, and don't forget the animals you're eating ate some of those crops, and the animals that were killed to get the oil and gas to transport the animals and their feed, and the animals who will die from contaminated water and a highly acidifying diet. Those last animals will be humans. I will enjoy my tofu, thank you very much. It's smoked and local.

  • @stephlovesthejobros "Limiting the suffering" That's like saying "Yes, I'm a serial killer, I killed 10 people, but THAT GUY killed 50, therefore I since I killed less I should go free."

What I'm saying is that you're a fraud. Your ideals are so deeply important... until things become inconvenient. Innocent animals die because what you AND I do, but it's you that has hypocritical moral qualms about it.

  • @KingAdrock420 If you care so much about animals being killed for food, then why don't you just grow your own food? People do that, you know. You can be a vegan and not eat any soy or wheat products, and if you grow organically then you're not hurting any bees. I eat 100% organic and limit my soy intake, and I'm wheat intolerant so there's none of that. If I lived in a warmer climate I would grow all of my food.

Stop accusing me of being imperfect when you're unwilling to change at all.

  • @KingAdrock420 actually you will find that most vegans buy ethically. Most of the popular brands common do not contribute to what you are suggesting. Unfortunately soy is over used now in everything,as is corn. Food Inc explains in pretty well.

  • @KingAdrock420 I really wish people would think before they talk, perhaps stop and reread before they post something. Perhaps then they wouldn't sound so stupid and say things that are completely ignorant and uninformed. You do understand that the majority of crops such as wheat, corn & soy go into feeding livestock for human consumption do you not? And that it takes FAR more of these crops to raise animals for consumption than to simply eat the plant food itself.

  • @Racquelle40 I really wish people like you would not make baseless assumptions, like the idea I would somehow be unaware that animals such as cows eat grain. The point (which quite obviously flew right over your head) is that if a vegen eats grain from such sources then they are contributing to the very thing for which they criticize the rest of the world.

And that children, is called HYPOCRISY.

  • @KingAdrock420 Condescending. Nothing you said was so brilliant as to fly over my head. I got your point. Baseless assumptions? You really shouldn't be pointing any fingers. I will acknowledge hypocrisy among a few but, as @smileypointed out, most vegans are actually very ethical consumers who look very critcally at the sources of everything they purchase whether it's food, clothing, cleaning products etc.

  • Correction: * as @smileyraw pointed out....typo

  • @Racquelle40 "Condescending." Indeed Pot, I believe you are quite correct about my color. But suppose you as well "shouldn't be pointing any fingers"? Especially whilst discussing hypocrisy?

  • @KingAdrock420 What is your point? Do you even have one? You certainly are making no valid point in any discussion of animal welfare etc. What hypocrisy am I guilty of? I was being condescending, intentionally so. I FEEL condescending towards you, no hypocrisy there. And to be clear I wasn't calling your condescension hypocritical, rather your stance and your 'arguement'. I was calling you condscending which I found funny as you have nothing to base it on....

  • @KingAdrock420 I called you out for being condescending because you have nothing to back it up with. I seriously consider my steward of the planet and, though certainly not perfect in all of my actions and choice, I consciously make every effort to be true to my values. You - in this discussion anyway, I certainly don't know and can't judge your whole existance - have done nothing but hurl that same old lame vacuous arguement that vegans are hypocritical becuase they eat grains plants or grains.

  • @KingAdrock420 Which adds exactly zero to the discussion as is simply deflection, nothing else

  • @KingAdrock420 And, while some may not, the hyporcrisy in the meat industry and those who support it either knowingly or by sticking their heads in the sand is so disproportionately vast that your vacuous accusations of hypocrisy are beyond ludicrous. If it weren't for the horrendous consequences to the animals, I would find this desperate sounding defensive hurling of accusation amusing. I made no baseless assumptions, my response was made according to the ignorance of your statements

  • @KingAdrock420 As Food Inc points out, we have the choice to 'vote with our forks'. I buy local and organic as much as I can, especially for the crops you mentioned. Next year am planning on building a box garden to grow my own produce and, as one person pointed out, if I lived in a place that was warm year round I would grow all of my own food that I could. You are OBVIOUSLY doing nothing other than spouting off nonsense at those who are conscientiously trying to do there best.

  • @KingAdrock420 Nevermind that you are also comparing apples with oranges. You cannot compare an animal that is killed accidentally without intent, with an animal raised FOR SLAUGHTER in the INTENSELY CRUEL conditions of a factory farm. Again, the more people that move away from eating meat and support small local farms, the less harm done to our natural world...

  • anyone else notice all the screwed up slaughter and abuse videos in the suggestions box? wtf.

  • wheni feel like giving up on vegeterian, i watch this.

  • @OneLittleWagtail Don't give up! It's totally worth it! :) <3 Consider going vegan if you're in it for the animals. If you think it'd be too hard, just go vegan for brekky for a few weeks, then add in lunch, then dinner and POOF, you're a vegan!

  • 2:00 The face of transformation.

  • Tagged for slaughter

Tag Number 7565 turned out to be

    a very lucky number

I am glad the meat buyer who bought her

and tagged her # 7565 took a loss of $1000.

or the Slaughterhouse took the loss of whatever

    they paid for her.

    Ha Ha

  • A Will To Live

  • The lady in the blue shirt, the worker's words had a profound effect upon me. Very insightful video. Thank you for sharing.

  • One death is a tragedy, a million is a statistic.

    Joseph Stalin.

  • It's the most amazing this to hear that beautiful black woman describing the end of her disconnect. JUST BEAUTIFUL! May her and her family enjoy the fruits of her thoughtful decision! Love and peace to all beings!

  • I SEARCHED FOR : SAY NO TO NWO............... and i got this....

You dont have to be so extrem to say i am not going to eat meat, you just have to be good to them not what they are doing to them!! DONT BUY MEAT FROM SUPERMARKETS.....buy it local, or drive out in the country side and find something good and Clean....DONT BUY FROM THE BIG FIRMS who are destroying the Planet allready...........!!!?

  • Josh, call Joele and Aaaron you creep

  • This is gorgeous, I have trouble watching the more gory videos of what goes on in the meat industry, though I have braved it in the past and that's what stopped me eating meat. I was so moved in a nice way by this. As a vegan I never drive past the slaughterhouse in my town, it's too upsetting. But I am trying to help others to see... without being too preachy :O)

  • Must be nice to eat grass and hay instead of corn and protein.

  • Awesome. Love it. Subscribed!

  • sharing, such a great story. thanks.

  • This made me cry so bad....Thats so heartwarming...But when i look at her...i see all the others that dont get the chance to live...It breaks my heart not been able to save them from sucha misrable cruel death...They're a living being and diserve to live as much if not more then humans do...Im nearly Vegan...and thats the way im always gonna be cause eating a life? isnt fair...nor is it right

  • Has anyone heard of the food chain?????

  • amazing .

  • Fantastic!! Sharing :) xx

  • Cows are beautiful, innocent animals. At my Mum's farm in New Zealand we have heaps of cows and calves, and some of the calves actually come up to you for a hug. They are very gentle. The way they are treated in the factory farms is completely unacceptable and atrocious. They are seen merely as products - no one sees that they have a right to life as any other being. To abuse these animals is to abuse the innocence of life itself. Unacceptable.

  • If this is a story about a runaway cow, why is the thumbnail of a black woman? Racist, much?

  • It's always beautiful when we get to see a person "make the connection," like the woman who worked at the shelter. Very touching video!!

  • Its good to touch on the humanity strings once in a while we can all be bastards or we can be saints the choice is yours.

  • Comment removed

  • This is not an isolated incident when an animal has escaped and been granted the right to live.

    A happy ending.

  • This argument is ridiculous.

A life spent in confinement, being torn from your mother, tortured, and ultimately slaughtered and eaten is not much of a life.

Following this logic, we could eat human babies too, because after all, at least they'd be alive. And we could breed slaves, because, well - at least they'd have a life. See how silly that sounds?

  • Don't compare your life to that of a slave or a factory farm animal, it is an insult to those individuals. You are sitting around justifying the indefensible because you like the taste. Just admit it, because you will not win this argument.

Raising animals for food is cruel, it's the single largest cause of greenhouse gas emissions, and it's not even necessary for most of us to survive. These are facts.

I challenge you to watch the Joaquin Phoenix documentary "Earthlings". Just google it.

  • @JoshuaOshua hay u guys stop that ok my mum owns earthlings and she says sadiest movie she has eva seen i would not do it ok u will be sad for the rest of ur life

  • @BigPurple121 2 to 4 years of tortured? Even if it's a day of tortured, I would prefer not being born!

  • @BigPurple121 2 to 4 years of tortured? Even if it's a day of tortured, I would prefer not being born!

  • @BigPurple121 If the cows go extinct, then they go extinct, no biggie. Breeding animals for food is ruining the environment and it's cruel to the animals. Exploitation is wrong. Using animals for food or clothing is exploitive, thus animal use is wrong from a moral standpoint. I'm not even going to get into the stress eating animals and their products has on your health.

Also, would you rather live in cramped quarters sitting in your own faeces and being fed the wrong diet or not live at all?

  • I wouldn't even waste time on a creature such as BigPurple121, Joshua--obviously, he's not evolved to any level of higher intelligence

  • your remarks are ridiculous

  • BigPurple121 = Creepy weirdo.

  • @BigPurple121 GTFO, k thx bai. Your arguments are just an excuse, saying if we didn't breed and torture animals there lives would suuuuuuuck :O Go back to Mcdonalds and die of heart disease, fucking fat cunt.

You can't stop the vegan movement. We're taking the next generation, for health, for the animals, and for the planet. So fuck you.

  • @BigPurple121 That it so freakin stupid. She had a terrible life prior this. That really is the most idiot thing I have read in a while. What ever makes you sleep at night yeah?

  • Factory farming is worse than the holocaust!

  • Go Vegan!

  • Go Vegan. Please.

  • Thank God for Farm Animal Sanctuary. Great job for saving this sweet girl... now she can be an ambassador for all her brothers and sisters who have no voice, and are slaughtered every day.

I can't believe that shelter worker never even thought ONE TIME about the animals that she ate before. It's too bad it takes something like this to make people start thinking.

  • This made me cry tears of joy, not only for Maxine, but for Dienna Capers! Dienna, YOU are AWESOME Girl!! I wish so many others watching this would take the same direction! Its not hard. I was a meat eater all my life because that is how we are bought up, you think nothing of it until one day, like this for Dienna, you have your eyes opened. I haven't looked back and it's been 15 months now, and on a scale of 1 to 10 for becoming vegan, I am at around 9!! C'mon people, make the change, FOR THEM!

  • The ACC lady at 1:50 gives me hope that people can make the connection. Thank you

  • Open the gates and they will all escape.. No animal willingly goes to slaughter !

    Go Vegan : ))

  • Watching the women at 1:50 was fantastic, she is a credit to America and the human race for opening her eyes and seeing the truth!!!!!!!

  • Hi Joshua,

Can you please write me here what the lady is saying between 1:56 and 1:59.

    Thanks a lot.

  • she said "I never pictured that face, on that, and it hurt"

sorry, I know I'm not Joshua, but, yeah, lol

  • thanks, I forgive you so don't worry...

  • you're welcome, and thank you, haha

  • Love this video... wish every farm animal could be rescued. I doubt there will ever be adequate animal rights... but I keep praying for it.

  • If you are an animal dance NOW, here:

    Animals' right to dance

  • Thank god for Farm Sanctuary. It is a wonderful place for all the rescued farm animals. Try to visit Watkins Glenn NY. You'll learn a lot!

  • where in Queens i live in Queens

    She is very smart

  • Awhile back I learned of sodium nitrate chemical treatments &researched it more, this is the chemical they use (or preservative I mean) to literally prevent the meat frm looking "DECAYED", the refrigerated meat u feed ur family is loaded w this stuff (othewise the meat wld look green, black, etc),studies have proven a high correlation to cancer- type sodium nitrate preservative meat cancer in to Ggle-- a woman on 2nd page of links even killed someone by feeding her a capsule of it! Watch from 0:00

  • 1:53 god bless you lady, god bless you, i never had meat in my life and you won't miss it i assure you

  • I love this video. Sometimes when I'm feeling down, I watch this video to get inspired again. We all want life. We all want love. We all want freedom.

  • I think it's beautiful that Maxine was able to escape from the slaughter house she was condemned to. It just shows how real, how touching, an animal can be. It is forever my belief that humans are equal with animals.

Everyone should try to pursue a Vegan lifestyle if possible. To humans, may we share unconditional love. To animals, may we be forgiven.

  • Kitosoma: You believe that humans are equal to animals?

    People eat cows.

People imprison cows, inoculate cows, genetically modify cows , and inject them with artificial growth hormones.

People artificially inseminate cows, then confine the calves in harsh conditions and underfeed them, before killing them for veal. This is done so people can steal the milk.

Cows don't eat people - nor do they drink milk produced by humans.

Do you still think humans are equal to animals?

  • way to go MAXINE! so happy to see a video like this. we all at one time long ago were vegitarians. if we all became vegitarians again we would be a healthier society. no more heart decease and obesity.

  • Outstanding video. I originally became vegan more for health and environmental reasons. I planned an intelligent vegan diet, and feel great and have excellent "numbers." But the spiritual uplift I now get from knowing I'm not contributing to the suffering of beautiful animals like this has become the real payoff.

  • This is a great video. For the record, it hasn't made me question why I eat meat nor has it made me want to stop - I've been cutting back without watching videos and not just because I see animals as having a right to live like we do, the crap the big companies pump into meat is doing nobody any good but at the same time I'm not going to jump into the whole meat/vegan argument either because I think it's wrong for either side to judge the other for their lifestyles.

  • I don't see it as judgemental when people promote/advocate the vegetarian or vegan lifestyle.

I see it as merely educating and informing, and if for those who still continue to not take to heart the truth, at least they are allowed to make an INFORMED decision to do so, although I do have to say I don't know how ANYone could not be touched by this story!

  • This is a cool story for sure. I just want to say I was sifting through the comments here and see a lot of people embracing either meat eating or vegetarianism and if one doesn't approve of the other's perspective than they are denounced. Look, I'm a vegetarian but I have never had the intention of making a fuss to anyone that it is "right." It is how I feel. Forcing beliefs (in any way) is the epitome of world conflicts. I'm just saying. Wish you all the best. -Alex

  • Well Alex - I don't know that there is any shouting or "forcing" - it's an open forum for commenting... and we are. But I'd have to ask you this - if you saw killing animals "needlessly" - meaning we don't "need" their flesh to survive... What else can one do but to ask others to "stop" killing needlessly? It is a response that seeks fairness & justice. We can & do live fine on a plant based diet... without the killing. So why do it?

    Go Vegan

  • Well said! Furthermore, the vegan movement is merely a movement for justice, not unlike the one for slavery abolishment, civil rights, women's rights, human rights, etc.

This is a current movement for species rights. It is the main type of prejudice many people are guilty of today--having the idea that just because one isn't a *human* being that we can do whatever we want with/to them, and that is in fact WRONG.

  • The same thing happened in Boulder Colorado about ten years ago, this beautiful cow (now called Justice) was found running by the Justice Center the local papers took pictures and screamed "Hamburger on the Hoof". I was shocked and disgusted at their lack of compassion and tore off and editorialto the same paper, I was contacted by Rocky Mountain Animal Rescue. We saved her and Justice lives happily in Boulder Open Space and will forever. Long Live Every Soul! Hilary

  • This was so sweet.

Never doubt that animals feel pain or emotion; they are just like us, only different.

  • This story is what it's all about - Maxine was meant to change these peoples lives and their perceptions about "food". She's beautiful! Been vegan for a year - and this is pretty much the reason why. Animals want to live... we don't need them for "food" - please consider going vegan you'll not regret it.

  • I've been vegan for five years and it's the best decision I've ever made. You're so right!!

  • I'm considering it, beaelliott, I just read another story about "Emily The Cow" which was another escapee from slaughter. Emily jumping a 5 ft. fence an unbelievable feat for a cow.

  • That's wonderful that you have an open mind. Many people I know who feel the same are selecting 1 or 2 days a week to go meat-free/dairy-free... In a few months they add another day & so forth... Guess what? In 6 painless months - your vegan :) Better health as well on a plant based (cruelty-free) diet. Good luck :)

  • I have been sick and down of all the bad and evil news of the world.. Seening this video made me tear up but gives me the strenght to keep fighting for all. Thank you for this video post..

  • GO VEGAN

  • They Should All Have A Life Like Maxine Does Now,, Lucky Cow!

  • In a world full of cruelty its heartwarming to see such compassion.........

  • People like Dienna give me hope.

  • Way to go Maxine =D I'm happy she escaped, no animal deserves to be eaten/mistreated/killed. I've pay good money to see those humans that kill the poor cows be slaughtered. >>

  • That cow is just...beautiful. Her eyes look almost as if they look into one's soul. :) It's great she escaped!, i hope with more events like this, the human race with begin to see how wrong meat is. And perhaps they can all feel beyond the human species. =3 Ditto, purplecheese28 :D

  • She has the most beautiful eyes and so full of innocence just like a dogs. It has been three months since I have been vegan but I only wish I knew about this earlier. I hope others will learn and cleanse themselves from this sin as I have.

  • I love that black lady who is going to vegetarianize her family! It warmed my heart when she said that she'll be "saving a few more" animals, because that's what I do everyday!

It's just like what Franz Kafka said,

"Now I can look at you in peace; I don't eat you anymore."

I feel such peace when I look at beautiful animals such as Maxine.

  • way to go Maxine! what a story. she saved herself and now a bunch of other cows as well. Props to Dienna, the coordinator, for recognizing the cruelty to factory farm animals and taking action on it.

  • I love ye Maxine, kudos to ye girl for dashing to ye freedom, woohooooooooooo :O)

  • vegan love <3 go veg

  • i am vegan :) go vegan

    WE LOVE THE WORLD.

  • cows are awesome!im vegitarian and i am proud!im a member of farm sanctuary

  • From the bottom of my heart, I wish her a happy life.

  • So she's in the New York shelter? I'll see if she's there next weekend.

  • I am sooo happy she scaped:) I hope all cows and animals that are at slughter places scape, and that humans that eat animals realized what they are doing is a mistake, do not do onto others what you dont like others to do unto yourself, STOP ANIMAL CRUELTY ONCE AND FOR ALL!!, ANIMALS ARE CAPABLE OF GIVING THE HIGHEST QUALITY OF LOVE, THEREFORE DO NOT ABUSE THEM!!

  • Oh be quiet with that bible love all even enemies crap.

    Carnivores are idiots.

  • It's because of people like fpressel that this world will always be a piece of crap.

Go kill yourself fpressel. No one will miss you.

  • Stupid pieces of shit carnivores.

    I'm glad I am vegan.

    Vegans rule.

  • Vegans want peace for ALL (including carnivores) by calling someone names, you make all vegans look bad, please try to refrain from that. Vegan is the way to be, so represent us is a positive way. PEACE

  • Oh I remember hearing about this.

  • Millroader you have much to learn.

At 22 it sounds like your age has passed your IQ

  • Maxine was kept in the pen for just a few days until she could be transported to the animal sanctuary to live out the rest of her life cared for and given room to graze and roam around with other cows. The transportation & attention were likely a little stressful on her but infinitely less stressful than what she encountered on a daily basis at the factory from which she escaped. The cows at the sanctuary were the ones they said were going to moo to her to comfort her, not the people.

  • This is such a heart warming story. To think about all the slaughter of beautiful creatures

like this is just too unbearable. Please everyone go vegan. Peace for ALL that live!!!!

  • What a courageous and lucky little girl. Wish it were the same for all of them.

  • ...woot im vegi and i lv animals (its like grubbin ur dog or cat or waotever and hanging them upside down and chopping there heads off) - thats wot happends to nearly every pig, chicken and cow and so on today :(

    ...TY 5str

  • I cried tears of happiness and sadness all together.

  • This video brought tears to my eyes...go vegetarian :)

  • cows and like any other animal r like people with feelings they sould not be slaghtred. i am being a vegtrain cuz i know what they do to the animals and it is crul. if u think the cow doesnt deserve a life then the people that think that should go through slaghter .

  • The theory that rationally grounds the rights of animals also grounds the rights of humans. Thus those involved in the animal rights movement are partners in the struggle to secure respect for human rights--the rights of women, for example, or minorities, or workers. The animal rights movement is cut from the same moral cloth as these.

Our task must be to free ourselves..by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and its beauty. Albert Einstein

  • Great video. I hope more people watch it and actually identify that they eat a living breathing and feeling beautiful animal everyday. Go Veg!!

  • such suffering so people can a temporary taste of something

  • fpressel, So are you suggesting that you are one of those that should be executed?

  • fpressel:

You and others have been conditioned to eat meat so you don't know the difference since you are not a vegetarian. Trust me when you are, your foods taste better, you feel better, your eyes are brighter, your mind is more clearer, your skin is much softer, your hair is much stronger and shiner and most of all you feel much more compassionate for living things. I know you won't believe because you don't understand. Fear what you don't know.

  • Beneficial protein, Fpressel? Are you kidding me? Beef kills - not just the animal, but you and the environment as well. You're uneducated and don't understand how brainwashed and blinded by the meat industry you truly are. Heart disease is the number one killer in the United States and beef and meat consumption in general is largely responsible for that.

  • A question with no valid answer is why do we cuddle some animals and put a fork in others?

  • Thanks for posting this! Is a beautiful video!

  • oh my, some people are just retarded

  • so you think you are special because you are a two legged hairless ape?

  • Hey if you wanna give up batteries before you give up meat, you are being illogical. Not only does giving up meat have a much larger impact on the environment than giving up all of the things you just mentioned (combined, see the UN report), but for most people it is easier.

  • Now instead of dismissing it by saying it's all 'PC', you've adjusted to saying it's 'bull'. You really just can;t respond to the facts because they're facts, not opinions. Instead of continually throwing out ridiculous blanket statements and generalized assumptions about environmental and social justice issues, you should do some research so I don't keep having to point out your major factual errors.

  • You are deflecting. Deal with the issue at hand. The point is, meat is relatively easy to give up for most of us and would have huge benefits beyond giving up even cars.

  • The point is, if it's both better for the animals and the environment, and we can still be healthy, it seems like common sense to AT LEAST decrease the amount of animals products we consume.

The ADA's official position on veg diets is: "appropriately planned vegetarian diets are healthful, nutritionally adequate, and provide health benefits in the prevention and treatment of certain diseases."

  • I'm shocked you'd be so obvious - I thought you were smarter than that. Most of us have seen a recipe with meat in it before and if your intent is to rile me, you've failed. Ho-hum.

Oh, and don't let Maxine's cholesterol lead to Viagra. I don't have to worry about that, I'll take the seitan.

  • A new United Nations report calls cattle the greatest threat to the climate, forests and wildlife. Cattle are 'responsible for 18% of greenhouse gases, more than cars, planes and all other forms of transport put together.' This includes the obvious cow fart and manure production of methane, 20 times more effective as a global warmer as CO2. Between the water and the carbon footprint, it is definitely time to go veg.

  • Wrong. It's not only that. Did you read it? It's also about methane from cow burps and farts that is 20x as powerful a greenhouse gas as carbon. Also incredible amounts of water pollution from farm runoff, bad land usage (think of all the resources, water, grains, etc it takes to grow a cow when we could be using those resources directly). Facts are facts. A vegetable based diet is better for the earth, the animals, and our health. If you like the taste, just admit it, don't distort the facts.

  • That's right: High cholesterol, obesity, diabetes, prostate cancers or inflammations, and hormonal imbalances cause the vast majority of all cases of impotence. The good news is that medical science has proved that all of these conditions can be virtually eliminated (and even cured) with a low-fat vegan diet.

  • right. and cigarettes didn't cause cancer until the tobacco lobby was toppled.

  • I love this video. Compassion is a choice.
