I'm so sick of RH fans saying that there new stuff is not as good as there previous albums. they are truly evolving in both style and substance..my opinion..they have become the modern day Mozart of our era
"In Rainbows" was a triumph, granted not their greatest of albums, but it still shows what incredible musicians and writers they are as well as producing another beautiful collection of songs. Radiohead was never about "noise". You've just got to sit and listen properly to know that. If they aren't raw talent and emotion i dont know who is.
uh radiohead back in the day, when they were exciteing. Guitars agogo, thome with blond hair and young J greenwood showing everyone a thing a two. There new stuff is still of the highest quality but were is the exciitement. The Iin rainbows album is boreing. I'm O.K with everything up to and including there there (KId A and Amnesiac should of been a double album, money grabbers). I crave noisey guitars and I'm not getting any from radiohead these days.
I would never say in rainbows is boring. In fact it is really awesome in the way they use their chord progressions and a bit of electronica. I respect your decision in preferring more guitar work (bodysnatchers is noisy in the radiohead way) but you really have to sit down and listen to the rest to feel it. Is there any reason why people only ever talk about Johnny and Thom? Because of people that just like noise and or the riff of the song actually threw Thom Yorke into depression.
Ed when Ed wasn't so mellow. Quite awesome, really. Those three guitars together rock the house down, OVER THE TOP WITH THE CEILING RIPPED OFF. I'm all for musician's artistic license and high tech computer gizmos and all that stuff. But I wish Radiohead would do this kind of stuff more often.
You know, I think this was a time when Radiohead were truly a band. Since then, members like Ed and even Johnny to a tiny extent have been squeezed to the side a bit by Thom's electro-fixation (Not that there's anything wrong with that sort of music)
i wouldnt have said so at all. jonny actually wrote quite a few of the songs from the band's later career, like the tourist and kid a, and ed is always there, even if only subtly, but still makes a huge contribution all the same.
I tried playing old Radiohead songs with the same force as Jonny, and after breaking my A-string two times and the low E-string once, i realised that I couldn't do it that way xD
seriously my gibson les paul can hold every string except for my D its ridiculous lol i have like 5 of those strings ready for when i break the next one
Meh. Crappy vocals, bad solo. I like the studio version better.
fuck you, go to hell, they are the best. y si piensas ke suena mal weon, no tienes criterio, la version es estudio es buena, pero esto, esto es musica en vivo y la verdad es mucho mejor, chupa pico
this live version puts the studio recording to shame. I love the part when Johnny "crunches" on that dissonant chord during "it's like the world is gonna end so soon"
