Carbon credits are a scam designed to exploit the economic principle of "perfectly inelastic" supply.  It is the next financial catastrophe to sweep wealth out of the middle class and poor. It is by intent and design, just like the "housing bubble" and mortgage backed junk paper.

Usual denial Republican American talk. At the end of the day ALL human efforts which follow a pollutive outpour will only adversely affect the earth. It does not take even a 8 year old kid to realise that. I'm guessing your money and/or investments hinge on the use of non renewable energy resources. Think beyond your little world coming to an economic end and think about investing on renewable energy resources and such technologies. They're guaranteed, non renewables aren't.
