@thenoti1 there are dozens of videos of the KEF Muon, only one is featured. Maybe the pan pipe crap played in the other KEF Muon videos is more to YOUR taste (must be good if it's on an LP) but I believe that little tab for downloading HER music is the reason you came across a this particular KEF Muon video so quickly!

Also watching White men can't jump doesn't qualify you to criticize what is very main stream music. How many million people agree with your last choice of download. Sorry LP.

I've heard that monitor audio speakers are really bright. Not Klipsch bright but close. I guess it all depends on your taste. They definately look like classy speakers.

they are, and I noticed that during some listening sessions. that brightness is the only downside i can think of. the bass is outstanding, no boomyness at all, unlike the kef iQ series. the platinum pl300 are far more balanced than the kef 203, and it's still the treble i dont like on the MA's (it's massively detailed but it didn't sound as solid as a high end traditional tweeter)

No offense because I'm sure they are wonderful speakers, but from several reviews one of which stated that the kef 201/2 their reference bookshelf outperformed in his view the platinum series by a country mile. IMO its real hard to touch the kef reference speakers in and even above their price range. He also called the Kef reference 201/2 the most balaced speaker he had ever heard. He said they were bright to begin with but that was because they were shipped with the tweeter adjust. at +1.5db.

overall I can say that every speaker brand has it's own "sound" but I haven't heard a speaker with insane transparency and tonal balance yet. although i have to say that the best speakers I have heard in my life are not made by the most popular brands like MA and KEF or B&W. One speaker I'll never forget is the Audio Spectrum Hermes. It beated even some speakers in the range of 50.000usd i've heard on an audio show.

these speakers are made to reproduce the sickest sonic details, found in classical music and such. when you play pop music through much cheaper speakers (10.000$) there's really nothing you'll be missing, but with some other kinds of music, there will be, that's why this kind of speakers exist.

Critically honest, I prefer the Black Swans by Gershman audio or my personal Acapella Trilon Excalibur's. These units (kef) were very close however very picky for room selection and dampening characteristics. (and size) The videos on here probably don't do them any justice,however a distinct high pitch synth tone is very present on the recording where as in person i don't remember being able to distinguish such notes. Mine are powered by Red Rock Audio amps.

Are you making a statement about these speakers? I have heard plenty of audiophile speaker systems and found some that aren't boring and dry sounding. Some will sound dry, but the whole point of audiophile grade systems is to reproduce content as close to original without coloration, have a great soundstage and to not "hear" the speaker system. Some mfgs do this quite well. I heard other KEF systems and thought they were decent, but I haven't heard these yet.
