  • What program are you using to emulate mac osc?

  • wow great...

  • hahaha

  • You can commandeer a Mac OSX system in under 120 seconds if you remember the shell commands off by heart. Only reason you can't do it faster is because of the load times. In the hacking competitions in North America the Mac is the first to drop every time. The exploits and vunerabilities are wide and varied since Mac users often believe the myth that Macs are impervious to hackers and to virii/trojan/worm/etc programs. NOTHING is hacker proof. Period. Not even high-level mainframes. NOTHING.

  • @skelanth Ohh Snap

  • @skelanth : Said in a nutshell : "No system is secure".

  • @FUCKINROCKIT suck it slowly ?? Wow man ... get back to watching WWE and learn some new chat you fucking rocket !!

  • @FUCKINROCKIT it was a joke you mongo and learn to spell b4 you comment otherwise you just look like the skint peasant uneducated troll you are . This was a comment from over a year ago . Where the fuck have you been ? Or is your shitty windows computer that slow ?? I have loads of computers mac and pc and mac kicks pc s arse , peasant boy !!

  • OOOOO AAA serjsetion lurn t be less retarded and use a pc insted of an overpriced toy

see macfags arnt realy well thay are just retarded like everyone else in u.s.a

    umad?

  • There is a firewall build in your router, so on my home network I'm safe ;)

  • what version of mac is this?

  • Sorry to be pedantic, but it's pronounced "OS 10" and not "OS X" as "X" is Roman numeral for "10"

  • @JCHandJobLover Haha good to know.

  • Why even try to secure a MAC? The developers of the OS and its software applications didn't.

  • oh my fuckin god you goddamn noob its called mac os ten not ex bitch

  • uuu but macs dont get viruses uuu im smart i wasted 3000 on a computer with 2 gigs of ram uuuu it looks cool durrr..... idiots

  • @felixcruzazul um you do know that i got a PC with 3 gigs of ram and a Nvidia geforce 9500 GT for only $250

  • @66mustangGT great exactly my pint im being sarcastic im saying what most mac users say thats why i call them idiots...

  • The simple reason macs are more expensive is the built in home recording studio ( garageband) , which no PC comes close to and if you think Windows 7 is so well rounded check out annoyancesorg . There are numerous problems surfacing with Windows 7 and 3rd party software compatibility not to mention it crashes at the drop of a hat . I have both mac and pc ( linux) and any self respecting programmer would always choose a mac . I can have my macbook on for 3 days just a little lag PC crashes 12 h

  • @sugarglidersadele

I don't know what you're running, but I find it damn near impossible to crash my Win 7. I've left my computer running for a week straight (this is a laptop mind you...so heating is an issue) and have only experienced lag. I can be running 3 or 4 CPU intensive programs at once and still not get this damn thing to crash. What the hell did you do to get Win 7 to crash so easily? Hit it with a sledge hammer and say, Whoops! It crashed!

  • Comment removed

  • @AndrewDeLong That would be smashed & I'm running a train on your Mama & sisters WOOP WOOP !! You need 2 tell me where to get this kryptonite you must be running your laptop on ??

  • @sugarglidersadele

    The krypto--huh?

Oh, you mean how do I find it so impossible to crash my system? Easy. I do reg. virus scans, and, well....that's about it. Nothing special. I just know how to treat a computer.

  • @AndrewDeLong Know how to treat a computer ?? Well thats me told then . The wit in your response is outstanding . How about how to treat a woman ? Virgin boy !! Im sure you and your Atari will produce beautiful robot babies . Geekboy .

  • @sugarglidersadele

You are a bucket full of lol, y'know that!?

  • @sugarglidersadele "any self respecting programmer would always choose a mac"

If you like to program in LOLCODE or Brainfuck, sure. I'll just be doing some C/C++ stuff on my PC running Red Hat over here...

  • @piggykrap Talk english dickhead

  • @sugarglidersadele Actually, I am, with a few bits of jargon thrown in for good measure. If you had any level of competence, then you would know what I am talking about, but obviously you don't.

  • @piggykrap well that showed me LOLCODE thats like some real hardcore hacking lingo . Speak to me when u lose your virginity and your mum dont count

  • @sugarglidersadele Actually it's another language. Learn to google, dipshit. What do you program in anyway, garageband? LOL

  • @piggykrap Dipshit ? is that it ? I dont think google requires any learning . Is that the search engine ? Dont think I 've ever heard of that . But then I'm a dipshit with my own recording studio . I'm also running the whole thing on Red Hat btw. So how u getting on with that virginity problem ? Just imagine how cooler you would look to the girls if you could afford a mac .

  • @piggykrap + ><.-+++++++...,,<

  • @piggykrap brainfuck that amiga boy

  • @sugarglidersadele How cute, someone who's head is so far up Steve Jobs' ass they can't even look straight at their screen. You're talking about Windows' problems with third party compatibility? And I'd agree with you about the choosing a Mac for programming, but it seems awfully expensive to buy it just to load Linux onto it.

  • @KhroniclesOfNothing Who the fuck is steve job ?? I prefer mac as I am a music software programmer , pretty simple not a mac or pc fanboy just know the better system for sound engineering , of which there is not even a debate . So fuck off and please die this is so old !!

  • Hey Macfags, enjoying your games? OH WAIT

  • Just curious why the victim shows as being a PPC OSX system when it's being run in VMWare Workstation. Should it not report as being Intel?

  • mac's are better as the os is optimized for the hardware.

p.s When building pc's why not install Linux its more secure and free. Mac's are still better though.

  • What happens when punch in this (netstat -an |grep LIST) and you get

    And I get Ten listing?

  • One thing I find kind of funny, is that people state that no one attacks mac users because they have so little market share. However, most college campuses have mac retailers in their bookstores than pcs. So macs are becoming popular among college students. If college students are acquiring great sums of money from student loans, wouldn't it make mac users a good target to hit, I mean especially if they are "idiotic" "computer illiterate" "mac fags". However this doesn't happen... hmmm...

  • "college students" is a small market ...hmmm......by the way, the college i went to didn't have 1 mac. ;)

  • Every college campus I've attended or visited had a mac retailer in their bookstore CSUFresno, Central Michigan University... etc. I'm also seeing more students around campus with macs in hands, and less pc's. The average computers in classes I TA have been 1 pc to 4 macs. This was just my personal experience. I watched the CMU bookstore stop selling pc's and switch over to just macs. Also, although small, an untapped market should prove more lucrative than a defensive and tapped one.

  • Oh, trust me, if Macs ever come close to the market share of PC's, it will be a real world of hurt. There have already been viruses and trojans that have spread through Mac networks like wildfire. It's just as unsecure as a PC, and that's why there's antivirus software for it.

But I wouldn't count on the Mac revolution, considering the affordable and well-rounded Windows 7 is just around the corner.

  • Never mentioned anything about market share, just that there is a very lucrative untapped resource for hackers that hasn't been touched for some reason. It's not all gonna be about market shares, because a good resource is a good resource, especially one that may be composed of more naive money rich college students (who are using more and more macs). Also, I wouldn't call windows 7 well rounded just yet. Most reviews are providing a balance of likes and dislikes. Lets just wait and see.

  • They had an open beta with a lot of feedback. The launch is already far more successful than Vista ever was.

And as far as hackers are concerned, market share does matter, a lot. Why make due with a botnet that has the potential to reach millions when it could reach hundreds of millions?

  • Most reviews of windows 7 are kind of neutral, they tend to have as many dislikes as likes with the system. While it may be a little better than vista, it's too soon to say if it's "well rounded" until the final product is released. You can't review an incomplete product.

Anyways, a smaller market might seem less appetizing at first, but it should prove easier to infiltrate a market that is less experienced in security threats. So I'm just saying that some people had to try it.

  • Anyways, I don't think that we will ever come to a resolution, lets just agree to disagree and move on with our lives.

  • @harvey101107 afordable windows 7? you serius its $200 dollars. while snow leopard is $30 dollars.

  • Yes i'm "serious". A student can get Windows 7 for $30. Most people get the "Home" Edition, which is $120. And the updates are FREE, unlike Mac where you have to pay another $30 every time they issue another "service pack". Don't skew the facts, buddy. ;)

  • @harvey101107 well point me in the direction were i can get windows 7 for 30 bucks and ill buy it. just so you know snow leopard is not a sevice pack its a mayor release just like windows 7. another thing were talking about OS not the price of a computer that includes the OS. snow leopard is 30 bucks, 7 as of 10/2009: home premium 199.99 profecional 299.99 ultimate 319. Just some facts. ;), & to ur coment of macs price: try alienware, some lenovo, sony etc.. there are tons of more expensive PCs

  • You can get Windows 7 for $30 with an edu e-mail address or if you're a student.

Purposely pointing me towards overpriced pre-built PC's is not helping your case. I build my own machines (can't do that with a Mac...), and I could build the top of the line Mac computer and save at least a thousand dollars.

And nice job leaving out Windows 7 Home Premium - the most bought version - which only costs $120.

Just face facts - with Mac you're paying for the brand. They're not that amazing.

  • The whole point of what im saying is that, mac OS X Snow Leopard is $30, just one OS that has everything unlike windows 7 that in order to get more features you need to spend more money.

im only talking about the retail price of the OS but like always PC owners just have to point out macs are expensive and u can build a better cheaper one, witch is not the point, but since you like to talk about hardware not software like i was let me tell you ever heard of alienware?

  • Yes, I have heard of alienware, and you'd be stupid to buy one of those machines.

And no, you don't have to spend more money to get more features on a PC. do you know how much free licensed software is out there - and better than their retail counterparts? clearly you have had zero experience with software people use for actual work.

  • Im talkng about windows, not a PC but since u mentioned it i told u there are very expensive PC out there. windows 7 has, home premium, starter, professional & ultimate, each at a diferent price, so if u want more u have to pay more im talking only about windows 7 and snow leopard. not third party software, but sadly windows owners steriotype mac owners and twist the words even if i say PC are good.

Go to any store and see windows 7 cost more than snow leopard (not including the computer)

  • there are tons more expensive PC out there than macs, the worlds most expensive & powerful computer is an IBM, u can build a Mac its called a hackintosh (but its illegal) in conclusion comparing the OS price Snow leopard is cheaper, even a 5 year old would know 30 is less than $120.

just the facts- macs are regular computers, diference between a mac and a PC is the OS and the name.

PC & mac ( a specific type of PC) both serve a porpuse it is up to the user to choose witch best suits his needs

  • Yeah, the illegal part kind of furthering my point here. You can't have a Mac without being forced to go completely brand loyal. It's stupid.

PC & Macs are very different. It's obvious you know nothing about how they are built - from hardware to software their roots are very different.

You still harping on the price difference is just a testament to your utter ignorance, and proof you have no better argument.

  • you can run windows and linux on a mac ever heard of bootcamp?

i only mention the price because you started saying macs are expensive, so i mention brands more expensive than macs.

i started talking about the price diference between Snow Leopard and Windows 7, stating a fact

but PC fanboys will get angry & defend their PC even if i said they both r good & serve a porpouse.

I say somthing you respond about something else, whats the point of this? maybe this will make u happy PC rules!

  • The point is that your comparison doesn't make any sense.

Windows 7 is not that expensive if you consider most PC users have not upgraded their OS (sans service packs which are free) for anywhere between 3-10 years.

Mac upgrades are more frequent and clearly are an inferior product for people who do actual work.

And now that Apple has a whole new line of product (iPad, LOL), they will be focusing less on their desktops which were already mediocre to begin with.

  • define "actual work", thats one of the many excuses PC users say to try to prove windows is better and they dont show any avidence. theres and app on OSX for every program for windows. macs are mostly used for profecional editting (oh yeah it real work), & in schools, offices etc. by saying a mac is medicre your just posting your opinion. your just a pc fanboy that hates apple. then i cant reason with you, your kind will only say apple sucks without any real reasons. i respect that you perfer PC

  • I don't hate apple computers, but you'd have to be foolish to spend more money on a mac for things PC's can do with much more range of options at a much cheaper price. macs' functionality is a moot point - people mostly purchase them for trend reasons rather than practical reasons.

I work professionaly in video and animation and I have never seen a studio or school with a single mac.

  • And let's not forget you have to pay out the ass to even get the OS which only comes with Macs and is not available for retail.

  • yeah, $30 after you pay $2000 for a desktop.

  • and windows 7 home premium is $120.

  • That is so true, you my friend just won my best comment award... :D

I'm an Linux / Windows user, but I do like turn PC's "Windows Machine" ummm Non-Apple Taxed PC ? well what ever the hell they are I like turn them in Hackintosh PC's for fun...

I think Linux has grown a lot over the years even Maya3D is being made for Linux...

I like Linux compiz fusion. but for real work I use Windows.

More people in Movie making world are starting to use Linux... Not all software is free Maya3D is $5,000

  • They don't know what they are talking about. THERE ARE NO VIRUSES FOR MAC!

  • you couldn't be more wrong.

  • mhm you can say what ever you want, but there are no viruses for mac

  • and Mac fans wonder why everyone thinks they're retarded..

  • hey osx snow leopard i have Not had ONE Error Yet

  • Ive never understood why people spread viruses, if its for financial gain, then yes I understand, but anything else is really just a sick demented mind. I wish a genius could find away to sizzle their computers and post their names publicly.

  • It's hilarious watching idiots get their computers fucked up. Especially those faggot Mac users. I don't do it often but I when I do it's to local friends.

  • ouch!! that smarts!! I'm an audio guy. I cant find anything else that's compatible with my hardware. I didn't know I was gay. I just thought every one liked show tunes. Fucken Freddy Mercury, I knew I shouldn't have bought those dam Queen albums. Why didn't I just stick with Led Zepplen.

  • You may not be mentally gay, but that Mac makes you look PHYSICALLY gay.

  • Come on, at least try to be funny. That was weak man.

  • Wasn't trying to be funny. Trying to get truth across.

  • Great video of Mac "just working." Been happily enjoying my virus free windows for about 4 years now.

  • Does any of this still apply on leopard or snow leopard? I think is 10.4 or 3, but surely SOME of this is fixed.

  • Comment removed

  • I would of thought this a great response, however dropping silly stuff like crapple is the difference between this video and every M$ fan spam like this

    SEE WHAT I DID THERE

  • Doesn't mean shit to a Linux user.

  • You're just as much of a fanboy of Apple. And Apple is way more greedy then Microsoft is. Apple limits you on what kind of system you can OS X get it on. Not to mention their computers are underpowered and overpriced. And you have to buy a special kind of RAM that cost way more then regular RAM does. With Windows, you can get it on any kind of computer you wish, hell, you can even build your own kind from the ground up. Not to mention Apple doesn't tell people when your system is vulnerable.

  • The real solution is to use a MAC (Mandatory Access Control) system.. Shame Mac OS X doesn't yet provide anything remotely useful in that area...

  • If you want to know who a typical Apple user is, take a look at any one of the iMac commercials. Apple fans are people who like to be told what to do, and who cannot think for themselves, but merely like to hear one side of an argument from a biased source and never hear the other side of the argument. In other words, Liberals. Your average Apple consumer will be a 20-something Hipster named Grant.

  • Im a mac user, I just read this, so I broke your theory? Right?

  • MAC OS TEN! Not X

  • ahah idiot X is a roman numeral for ten ahahah HAHAHAH

  • yes but she says X not Twn

  • fail

  • yes but she says x not ten

  • crazy

  • think different,

    think gay

  • I love being gay.

  • im on a g3 with os 10.4.11 and its doing things i don't think were my commands...

  • update to leopard!!!!!

  • this is from 2007

  • Software firewalls may be good, but you can always bypass them.. Routers that have firewalls enabled-in, u may be more-secure

  • It's Mac OS TEN.....

X is the Roman numeral for 10

  • thank you!! the whole video she was saying mac osx and it was getting on my nerves

  • It's called OS X, not just because it's version ten, but because unlike OS9, the OS is based off UNIX, and many versions of UNIX end in X, e.g., AIX, HPUX and Linux.

  • Does it really matter?

I bet she could hack the fuck out of you cockrod.

  • i have a question i didn't install my firewall a couple of months after i got my mac book pro . i think i downloaded a virus or a bug is there a way that can get rid of it with out bringing it to future shop?

  • sexy accent

  • wtf?

  • can you unlock airport express so all sounds like from dvd"s can play from stereo

  • You can build the greatest structure in the world... and someone with a giant aeroplane can still fly into it and make it all crumble.

    *shrug*

  • You can make an overpriced piece of shit... and someone can exploit a vulnerability in iTunes in order to execute arbitrary code.

    *shrug*

  • This is a good tutorial! I doubt it, but is there a similar way to do this on windows? I doubt it because you cannot run commands such as ls, etc... on windows. You can run commands like dir on windows, so maybe it would work!

  • Oh and also if the victim is behind a router, does it work? I want to test this by opening a port on my router, but I don't know if there still would be a firewall on the port i open?

  • I removed OSX off my laptop. Why? I thought it was shit.

  • who is going to take this woman seriously when she cannot even pronounce the name of the operating system correctly?

it's pronounced "mac os ten" you stupid fucking bitch. get back in the kitchen and make me something to eat, worthless whore.

  • hey bro ur a mac geek, grow up noone cares about macs, dont bash her gender. ur the same as her u dont have a dick

  • Wait what the fuck! I didnt bash the woman in this video, and yes I am a mac geek. I used to be a PC geek. I used PCs all of my life. I got so pissed I needed a relief form PCs, so I got an imac. I used to hate PCs and windows, now I dont becasue I dont use them that much!

  • LMFAO! A little shovinistic and sexist, but lol! ROTFL!!!!!

  • omg this is gay u are a fag its not hard to hack into a mack u need to know how to get around it the back door can aways get hacked around omg its not that hard i have done itomg u are a faggit

  • mac=i hate. i think mostly because they have so many fanboys who have never even used a pc. which happens to be superior to a mac. unless your a communist and like to be fully restricted during computer use. which is what macs do. especially if you want to upgrade hardware. ESPECIALLY software.

  • Kinda true, but a lot of Mac Fanboys/users used to be big Mac bashers, such as me, and thecreativeone, and many more! When I got my mac, i used to bash windows, but now, i really dont. I guess its Windows I like, but the PCs I really dont... With Mac OSX, its easy to geek out. Its like Linux and UNIX, but with emmy winning software, remarkable hardware, and an elegant, intuitive UI.

  • Is it possible to add code to a music file?

  • thanks for joining 10 months ago to post a video from two years ago. ur teh lame.

  • Mac OS X is Mac OS TEN! Not X . . . X is the Roman numeral 10 as well all know!

  • It's however someone wants to say it. You could probably find Apple employees that say X rather than 10.

  • Fair point. :)

  • No, you won't. The Steve won't allow it!

  • ARGHHHH! NOT MAC OS ECKS! ten ten ten

  • You did not just say OS "ecks." It's pronounced "ten," because it's a Roman numeral, it's not an English letter.

  • I sell Macs for a living, and I certainly believe in their security, but security is only as good as the user of the computer. I tell people 3 basic things: Firewall ON, NEVER download E-mail attachments, and NEVER use a trivial password. It is too easy to break in. I don't care what system you're using.

  • Nobody cares to hack Macs, this is because the number of PC users with no firewall/antivirus, or a bad firewall/antivirus exceed the number of Mac users, yes all of them. More destruction with the same effort.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    these comments make me laugh.

  • yeah my mac book pro rapes microsoft

  • Microsoft doesn't make laptops, you fucking moron.

  • then why does apple computers have the need to be able to run windows?

  • Mac's Rule, Full Stop. Anyone who belives in microsoft (Especially Vista) is a dipshit. I Have had a mac for 20 years and HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM, Right from the LC's To the new Macbooks/Mac Pro and imac's. MACS ROCK!!!

  • What you say!

  • Ha die Apple

    long live microsoft!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

now i know how to screw with the ops system

  • loser!!! MAcs rule they r way better. ac was out first its just microsoft stole they system. DIE BILL GATES YOU IDIOT!!!

  • Yea this is why people take basic security measures. Like a basically configured firewall which is one of the most important tool in a secure network/computer after the operating system and running applications.

  • LOL is this the first video i ever seen that is hacking a mac wow gg mac me said what? mac user we dont get no viruses? me said WRONG, thx for making this video

  • LOL this isn't a virus you fucking idiot.

  • lol idiot mac got still owned regradless of a virus or not, a exploit who cares

  • Umm I care along with everyone else who cares about Mac security. I still have to hear of a working virus for it. And this would only happen on those who didn't practice basic security, those people deserve to get owned. You know the ones who don't even know what makes a virus a virus. Yea that's YOU!!!

  • lol wow c++ and coco for mac not myself u there is viruses for mac but are rare

  • I mean your purpose is somehow good, telling people to use a firewall.

Now... I really have a lot of personal information on my Mac. A hacker may would steal my photo album where I have the probe of UFOs existence, and my keynote presentations where I explain the universe's mystery.

    Come on!

  • What about your e-banking? Oh, right I forgot - one has to be older than 16 for that. Sorry kid!

  • I'm 24 baby, I guess your guessing powers are as lame as your video Noob

  • No one that have a little of acknowledge of Mac OS will call MacOS "X" instead of Mac OS TEN

  • WoW - is that your only critisism? Give me a break man, the voice narration part was done by someone not familiar with Mac OS. That is right - so what?

  • are you retarded? how can a person that is not familiar to something give an accurate opinion on that something?

same as you just did. Talking without knowing.

I feel shame for you fan boy

  • Well, working eight years in the security field and four years with mac os does not count? I really love these mac people.

  • You hacked a Mac that wasn't using a Fire Wall. Wow. So what was the "myth" you busted? That computers without Fire Walls are invulnerable??? Show me a real client-side exploit. Not this crap. You're embarrassing yourself.

  • Well, I don't know what you mean by "real client-side". A bug in iTunes is a client-side, regardeless of an activated firewall. The other movie demonstrates that even an activated firewall will not stop an attacker from getting a remote shell.

  • That's panther dumbass! Have you ever heard of upgrades????

  • Thanks for calling me names... but you didn't get the point, that's for sure! Regardeless of the vulnerability exploited (and there have been a lot vulnerabilities in Tiger, including exploitable vulnerabilities in iTunes as well as local ones), it is as easy as it is on Windows XP, for eaxample. No firewall turned on, no address space randomization, just a non-executable stack on the Intel version, but that can be bypassed with ease.

  • macs can be cracked

but FUCK ME is it SO much harder than cracking a windows pc

  • Turning the firewall on will not protect you from client-side attacks as the one launched by these guys. But that is explained in the second part of this series :-)

  • Where is the 2nd part?

  • We will upload it in a few days. Similar e-Learning stuff can also be found on our website (skilltube com)

  • April 20th

VANCOUVER, BC — Hackers Dino Dai Zovi and Shane Macaulay teamed up to hijack a MacBook Pro laptop at the CanSecWest security conference here, effectively pouring cold water on the Mac faithful's belief that the machines aDino Dai Zovire impenetrable.

Dai Zovi , a former Matasano researcher who has been credited in the past with finding Mac OS X vulnerabilities, exploited a zero-day flaw in the built-in Safari browser to take complete control of the machine.

    Security right!! LOL
