I was looking at oil filters the other day and I noticed the K&N filters look nearly identical to the Mobil1 filters, other than the welded nut that the K&N filters have. They're pretty much the same price so either one would be a good choice IMO.
So if i change my oil 3,000 miles MAX what would you say is the best filter for the money??? i dont need a royal purple one because i dont use synthetic and i dont fun my oil long at all. PLEASE HELP

You guys need to do a google search about oil filter tests. Sime guys took one year on a car to test both oil and filters. Fram failed in as little as 2K miles. Shockingly, K&N filters failed way before the Mobil-1 filters did! The filter media on the Mobil-1 out lasted everybody. No the test was not done by Mobil oil company either. Search it. Way to long to type about the results here. Looks are deceiving people!

@ColtDeltaElite10mm Wish i read your comments before i bought one. I just tried the Fram toughguard filter for the first time because they had a sale and it clogged up at 2,900 miles creating low oil pressure randomly at idle. Got that crap out of my car immediatly and no suprise no more low oil pressure.

the mobil 1 filters look good , they also appear to be a clone of the premimum black acdelco filters ,even the casting stamp on the front that is threaded is the same,,most likely same plant makes both
