No, Robidas doesn't just attack people. He rarely even gets in fights. Tootoo laid out Modano, and Robidas was most likely just going to shove him into the boards and have a few choice words. Have you ever worn a hockey glove? They have a hard piece of plastic that protects the top of the thumb. They used to made out of metal, which is why guys drop their gloves. The glove can cause serious damage if you hit somebody with the thumb. I have no problem with Modano getting decked. But Robidas has to protect his star and is allowed to take a run at Tootoo. If Tootoo wants to drop the gloves, let him! You ask "whats tootoo supposed to do??" He supposed to fight.

Yeah ive played hockey for about 19 years now Ive had a few pair of gloves in my day. And i would much rather be hit like that with a glove on than off. All Tootoo has to is duck and drop the gloves and him and Robidas can go at it. It's not like its Tie Domi coming at him, its Stephane Robidas, not exactly a guy who's gonna lay him out with one punch. The guys only had 5 fights in his career. Tootoo, who's had more than 40 NHL fights, can handle him. There is a huge difference between what Tootoo did and what Robidas was trying to do.
