@SharonLink The shark did seem to be using the boat as cover, lots of fish use any floating debris as protection, but I think you're anthropomorphising the whale a bit. It might have seemed to be showing the shark to the people but it's more likely that that's natural behaviour and the people just happened to be there. Also highly doubtful that the whale had any thoughts of protecting people, just its own pod and maybe getting a tasty shark liver.

Why the fuck do people still hunt whales? They don't hurt us and are dangerous plus inhumane to hunt. Although great white sharks look a lot more dangerous than a killer whale (most of the time), a whale can usually kill a shark.

The rest supports other sea life. But we humans go overboard with traps and guns. Imagine a trapped animal. Trapper gets animal. Animal is trapped for 17 hours before he is video taped for YT, poked at, messed with, shot or smashed over the head, and so on. Hunters allow animals to bleed out, suffering. Who's evil?

I'm sure there's a lot of "ethical" hunters who follow the laws and rules of hunting, however thanks to You Tube, I am aware of how cruel and heartless many hunters can be. You may be a good shot, however I hear two, three, and four shots regularly during deer season, as hunters can't seem to get that get they spot they needed to put the guy down. Trapping is worse. Sad situation.

The Killer Whale's personality, by nature, is very social, can almost be compared to the attitude of a child but with a greater intellect. In comparison with a child: they can be very playful and loving, and tend to be very friendly. But like a child, they can get very rough when they play, and when they get upset, they can get out of control. But due to their intelligence, they're amazing hunters, very protective, and when it's time for a showdown, they know how to come out on top, lol.

@YamaChan Even an adult great white max length 18 ft stands absolutly NO chance against even a moderatly 25 ft. sized Orca....Killer whales grow to 35 ft and are smarter not to mention the brute force....your asian, do the math. The only time Great whites feed on Orcas is when they are young, old or very sick.

Wow, just realized that the killer whales had been hunting the shark for awhile and the shark was trying to hide from them by using the boat! Killer whales have echolocation and would have spotted the shark from a long distance. This meeting was no coincidence. Seals have done this in the past when trying to get away from great whites! i guess they want the liver b/c its high in cholesterol
