I have a 15 foot montauk and think they look more cool with out the railings. especially if you are a free diver. the boat is so low to the water that I pull my self up from the bow and head over to the next spot. Even though I love my little 15 I wish i had got the 17 for the sort of stuff we do... free diving/fishing.
