can some one help me on no 6 to update thru recovery menu i recently had tryed to update and it got stuck in a loop so i formated the drive thru a sata usb incosuer now im trying to get it to update but its not reading my usb flash or reconising the hdd is in fat32 ps i didnt back up case the loop

well right i got onto that menu thank you guy and tried to rebuild my database and the hdd went permently on which is like ur hdd not showing up so it basically froze lol this is bad

If i use the ''Rebuild database'' will i loose everything? my PS3 HDD keeps freezing so i just want a fix but i dont want to lose my saves like the copyrighted ones

my ps3 keeps freezing while am playing a game or on the dashboard and sometimes the display wont show up, it says that there is no signal even though everything is connected. I already restored the PS3 system but it didnt work. Can you help me out?

I cant get to the recovery menu please help me and my ps3 always get these green squigly lines and then freeze please reply.

i found this by mistake. they got rid of the support for other operating systems... and, without thinking, i tried to boot fedora-core linux (even though it hadnt been installed in like 6 months) and viola... new menu. linux was better though. u could rebuild the database from there if you knew what u were doing. heres hoping this menu is in some way exploitable, playing .iso's is long overdue.

I did this and got to the menu. I chose option 3 because thats what many forums and sites told me to do. My ps3 just wont play blu ray,regular dvd is fine and it even upconverts. What am I doing wrong?
