I love Jani and Timo vocals are alright, but I was kinda hoping Jani would go for a heavier vocal style, I mean could you imagine the riffs and everything
@ANTTU24 I am a big kotipelto fan, and I admit his yelling type singing as u said is used to much and can get old...but in softer songs his voice is better
@SamUra101 I like Timo, but what all I've heard of him is sang in the same style. Softer songs also. In Cain's Offering and in Stratovarius. Into the blue, elegantly broken, stratovarius ballads... well in elegantly broken it's little bit better but not enough. Tony can sing so strong and really softly also. Timo's volumechanges and strongness changing is always really minimum. Argh I can't put it to words. Timo is okay as I've said. His voice just doesn't supply the feeling as great as Tony K.
@johnjohn123456777 i disagree. dont get me wrong tony is quite distinct but he could be replaced with ease i think. Jani however? yes he shreded like anyone in metal can but. his tone and the way he plays is missing. only Jani could come up with the likes of wolf and raven or 8th commandment. and thats what sonata will always miss
@12345smith67890 actually sonata doesnt plays wolf and raven live anymore and the solo in 8th commandment sounds less technical
elias is a competent guitar player but he has big shoes to fill in, and the lack of guitar solos in 80% of the days of grays doesnt tell me anything good about him
jani is pretty great, and this band is what you could really call a "dream team", i mean vocals - Timo

i mean what else can u ask for? but i've always been a SA fan, and always will, because jani left, doesn't mean the band is going dowm, i think they're just going through a change, but they're still SA, and Elias Viljanen, is also a great guitarist, he's not Jani, but he is who he is, and that's no reason to give him any less credit...
@e7wi77 That's so true. Elias is good, Jani is the best but what can you do... Jani had to go and Sonata is the best band ... still, without Jani. I hate it when everybody talk about that Sonata went down cause Jani left. It didn't make the change!!

i like cains offering, but i see many comments about people forgetting about sonata over jani, he was great but wasnt the band, so if you liked sonata over him, what if he leaves cains offering all of a sudden D:
@SumTanksUnite He doesn't leave... Cain's is a project band. All other guys have their bands and this is just a sideproject. And this is Jani's band. He kinda owns this. He made all lyrics and songs

Jani was great but he didn't make arctica, the only thing that would change sonata too much may be tony leaving but that wont happen
