  • i have the 100 watt version ,it's a beast

  • So, am I right in thinking you're trying to break your amp, so you can show us how to fix it?

  • @NadadouroDave

    pretty much

    no fault found

  • hey ive got a peavey mark iii and it only works with the guitar turned down to almost no volume then when you turn the guitar up it cuts out does anyone know wat that is?

  • This video is hilarious man, especially coming from someone who has had this problem. Thumbs up to you man!

  • what an ass jack nothing repaired lol i love it lol good job

  • thats the third video i have watched where you repair nothing lol!

  • @Dougo1974

    lol

    welcome to repairs?

  • Wow!There isnt much to this thing..I just repaired one a few weeks ago but It was a dsl series I thought it was an MG.What a difference in components..That dsl is an awesome amp..I know it had the british flag on the back. All I had to do was replace the preamp tubes and bias it.I got a Fender Strat for the job..Yeay!

  • 2:55 I think I heard Satriani make a noise like that with his whammy bar once....

  • I recently took the boards out of a valvestate to replace caps and had to remove all the knobs etc just like this one.... at some point in its life someone superglued one of the knobs on to the plastic shaft... had to break the damn thing off....

  • I have the same problem with my fender stage 100 dsp. what would happen if I just bought a new input jack and replaced the old one?

  • I had so many amplifiers come in with loose solder contacts, where the jacks had cables hooked in and they either got hit, or were just bad soldering. The most common problem of amps that people bring me is this loose jack.

  • I had the 100w combo. It blew up. Made in india cheap shite!

  • I love marshall :D

  • the video turned out to be a bunch of crap, then a nice clip of you playing guitar. really liked the slide tone with that guitar you had.

  • Is that all there is in that amp?! where the fuck is the rest of it?! also maybe the guy had shitty cables or his guitar was the problem

  • @KRFTWRKMkII

all I can do is keep testing it.

  • help me fix my damn marshall bass state amp :O

  • Maybe his plug or cable?

  • yeah baby put that jack in and out

  • i have that amp :D

  • hey ask the guy if he tryed more than one cable on it before sending it to you. Cause cables can go out as you know.

  • sounds like a moog lol

  • @Denvermorgan2000

    the old tone generator LOL

  • That in and out with the plug is kinda erotic. Please stop.

  • @BarneyFife00

I guess the size of the jack reminds you of home?

  • @davey4557 Frigging right yeah !!!!!

  • got the mg 100, good amp, its given me no problems yet and i had it for almost 2 years. As much as i liked that amp i still had to move up to the 60 watt Fender DeVille tho :P Now that a sweat amp! Love it so much the Marshall sadly, never gets played anymore.

  • O yay ram that jack in there.

  • it might be the guys cable

  • the problem is......there ain't no tubes in that amp! (gotta have tubes man)

  • @kortt

there is fuk all in that thing

  • My 2 cents is that when you took the cover off and started trouble shooting the dust or what ever it was became free that was causing the problem....even if it does work now still throw it away...LOL

  • maybe the owner just had a bad cable. Hey..... but this video reminded me of the guitar with the ghost in it. What happened to that one? (a guitar showing malfunction the being perfectly all right) Did you figured out what it was?

  • @rexmiguechidoto

you can find the answer in "DOS Telecaster Truss Rod Repair Complete" video - search in comments

    or here it is

"I put the original shit back in and the guy returned the pickups to the store :)"

  • Not the jack thats for sure....could be a bad cap after a while they will have fall off and have freq cut off that sounds like a bad wire connection

  • @alexis221woodworks

    I can't get it to fail :(

  • I like the way that guitar sounds. Is that the Kay?

  • @orangeguitarmusik

    that is the Kay

  • I've got one of these -- put it through hell, and it's never failed. For not having to pay up the fricken' wazoo for actual Marshall, these aren't too bad (they're actually made in Viet Nam -- talk about off-shore!!!) They're pretty ballsy for a small amp!

  • not worth repairing...60$ at a pawn shop.

  • Could have been a bad customer's guitar cord to start with. Maybe some spooge on the plug got wiped onto the jack's contacts accidentally at customer city. Then when you plugged a nice clean plug into it... you fixed it! Not much in a "modern" amp today... Lots of pots though!
