This is a demonstration it is supposed to look flashy and also the hand to hand combat is Combat Sambo drills and basic exercises. This is during their 5 years of training. Which they learn Systema in eventually and must be fluent in 5 different languages. And Specnaz must have prior experience in the Army before being able to apply. I see these guys as an extremely effective force.

Specnaz are also trained in the best tactical combat techniques in the world (or atleast on par with SAS, Delta Force, Polish Special Forces, Israeli Special Forces), to compliment guerilla tactics. To think they only learn one or the other is simply silly.

All modern special forces are trained extensively in guerilla tactics, mostly because of how effective said tactics are in a modern combat situation. Specnaz are also trained in the best tactical combat techniques in the world (or atleast on par with SAS, Delta Force, Polish Special Forces, Israeli Special Forces), to compliment guerilla tactics. To think they only learn one or the other is simply silly.
