I would think so, if the HD is formatted to the right format. From what I understand, the USB loaders have their own format.

I could be wrong, though.

I do plan on testing this in the next week or so. I have a 1 TB external HD I would like to fill with games. :D

the bad thing is when wii goes gc mode, the usb ports are disabled in use

so thats not possible.

@Jompe94 It could be possible though, I heard Waninkoko has ran a GC game in Wii mode before. There can be a workaround to basically "fool" the Wii into leaving the USB on.

uhhhh... how can you run GCN ISO's from a USB adapter with that? because no usb loader has ever been able to read the adapters I have... Is it because I have Wii 4.0U with the DVD drivers modded so I could use DVD-Rs that my PC can't read?

As long as your Wii is softmodded and can run the Homebrew channel, then there shouldn't be any reason it wouldn't work.
